I contacted Doggy Duty to help out a friend who had an emergency situation and needed her dog, Brownie, taken care of. I live in NY; my friend lives in LA — this presented a challenge! After contacting 15+ sitters, I quickly heard back from Doggy Duty. The owner, Erik, was reassuring and didn’t hesitate when I asked if he would pick up Brownie, who had been home alone for three days by the time I’d called. After interviewing all the sitters, I hired Doggy Duty. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.My friend and I received three daily videos from Doggy Duty showing Brownie adjusting to her temporary home. She’s an old girl with partial blindness who had just been through an ordeal, and the videos show her gradually becoming more calm and comfortable over her five-week stay. And what a relief for my friend to see she was in good hands.Erik’s co-worker, Nikole, was responsible for Brownie’s daily care. She was so gentle and sweet with little Brownie — and smart! Nikole kept Brownie on a regular schedule of eating, sleeping and potty breaks; integrated Brownie into the dog “pack”; and found ways to alleviate Brownie’s allergy suffering by giving her a bath, brushing her with the “Fur-minator", and administering allergy relief twice a day, among many other things. I can never fully express my gratitude for all that Nikole and Erik did to make Brownie comfortable. I would hire them again in an instant, and highly recommend them to anyone needing a dog sitter.
Provided 24 hour care at their home for three days, included a wonderful sleeping space with safe and secure yard access. No cages. Our dog is a 3 year old female terrier. She suffers from separation anxiety so we have used Doggie Duty because she can always be with someone in our absence. She is exercised regularly, goes for car rides, hangs out with other dogs and cats (permission requested and granted before they did this), gets lots of snuggles and loving. She is just as excited to see Nikole or Erik as she is either one of us - always a great sign. We received videos several times a day plus an itinerary and daily report via email. While we were gone we could see how she was doing at different times of day, engaged in different activities. Doggie Duty will also care for the dog in it's own home, but for us it was a real bonus for our dog to get comfortable being away from us and away from home.
Doggy Duty US is really great. My pet sitter moved a while back and I hadn't found a permanent replacement since then. I have high standards and they didn't blink at my specific request needs. That's been wonderful because I travel a lot for work so I really need to trust someone is going to take care of everything when I'm gone. That is all my little household chores and also great care of my pets because my cats and dog are my family. I love the service because they make it so easy for me to relax about everything going smoothly. I get reminders, photo and video updates and a daily recap email. That is the great for me because at end of day I can read about all my pets visits quickly. My pet sitter has even stayed a couple times longer just to take care of something random that came up. It's kind of bittersweet really, I think my pets love their pet sitter almost as much as me, their mommy. But I'd do anything for them and Doggy Duty US understands that. I've found my new permanent pet sitter.
