Sushi One sucks. Incompetent staff. We waited over an hour for our dinner and it never came. Our server never checked on us during the time we were waiting and never checked on our order while we were waiting. After an hour and ten minutes, I decided to flag down our server. I explained to her that we waited over an hour and still we do not have our dinner. She leaves and comes back and apologizes. She explained that one server put in our order, but another server took off our order. She told us they were working on our order right now and it will be coming out shortly. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came to our table in a few minutes. The manager looked like a young lady in her 20s. First thing I say to the manager is "I am very unhappy". The manager apologizes. I told her I didn't want to pay for the items on our table (we had 4 pieces of already eaten tamago sushi, a bowl of complimentary edamame, two sodas and two bowls of miso soup that comes with our dinner meals.) The manager assured us our food will be coming out shortly. I told her we already waited over an hour for our food, and now she wants us to wait some more? So now the manager offers my child free ice cream. My child says he wants real food, not ice cream. I found out from Yelp that the ice cream there is complimentary anyway. I told the manager we want to leave already. She tells us we don't have to pay for the two sodas, but we have to pay for the eaten sushi. The manager leaves and comes back with a bill of $5.95. We put $6.00 on the table and walked out. This was our first and last time at Sushi One. We left very unhappy.
Do not come to this place Santa Clarita has so many AYCE places. Very bad service " it doesn't cost anything to smile for once" and just to let everyone know the server likes to argue with you so if you decide to come here I prefer you don't.
My family ate her for my birthday, July 16, 2010. The service was fast, the sushi came fast and was cold and fresh. I had to grab the waitress for more iced tea but this seems to be more the norm today (I am not accepting this just stating a fact). There were several sushi chefs and plenty of waitresses to serve everyone.
