disregard the post below as the review was insufficient in not describing why you wouldnt take your dog there. Also the user profile for the below review doesn't exist.on the other hand, i have taken my dogs to get groomed at petsville 5 times within the year and have had great results. Petsville actually grooms better than petsmart. I haven't tried their boarding service yet but the prices are extremely reasonable.

Had my female pit bull spayed and was very pleased with everyone in the clinic.I am very pleased with the surgery and care of my baby girl.
Brought my three dogs in to be groomed, two large, one small. one of my large dogs is a senior with hip issues and they accommodated him and listened to me with my concerns, i really appreciated the knowledge and care they showed toward my pets. Price was also pretty decent for all three. It s really a hidden jewel!
We have boarded our dog Miko at multiple places across the country including California, Florida and Texas. Pilar's Pet Resort is, without doubt, the best place that Miko has stayed. When Miko arrives at Pilar's pet resort, he can't wait to get in the door. When we pick him up, he is always exited to see us, but he is not always happy to leave Pilar's.Pros:+ Truly cage free. All dogs are free to roam the air-conditioned facility and go outside in a mid-sized clean play area.+ Family run by people who genuinely love dogs. + Cozy for a dog with couches and cute elevated dog beds.+ Smells clean, looks clean and is clean.+ Frequent photo updates of dogs at play.+ Pilar and staff are very caring and responsible. Pilar noticed that Miko was under the weather one day and drove him to our local vet (about 45 minutes away) for a check-up. She informed us promptly and did not charge us for the trip.+ Pilar and staff understand dogs. They know when a dog needs a little quiet time and have special large rooms where they can temporarily keep dogs in need of a rest.+ It is a joy to see the dogs follow Pilar about. She cares for them and they care for her.+ Very good rates.+ Fairly close to airport.+ Many of the dogs are frequent boarders. These dogs provide stability, calm the pack and can become permanent friends with your dog.Cons:- We moved away from Florida and cannot find a place that is half as good as Pilar's.We miss you Pilar!
A few weeks ago, my husband and I visited Tampa from Asheville for 12 days. I thought the place we booked was "pet friendly." Upon our arrival, I discovered I was mistaken. I scoured the internet and decided to visit Camp Bow Wow. I loved it! Bucky was interviewed for aggression. They checked his shot records and he stayed. I must say Kevin and the gang were all so skilled with how they handled him. My husband and I took him out twice and each time, he was happy to go back. Camp Bow Wow is the best kennel we've ever used!
My 8 month old puppy was returned to me as what Banfield Pet Hospital describes as a Traumatic injury. CAMP bow wow did not seek medical treatment. Instead they taped her head and left her over night..She is currently being put under for surgery this morning. I have put in 3 calls to camp now wow and left messages ...I have not received one phone call back. Please do not board your dogs at this location they are Negligent
I hate to write this review given that at one point in time I was pleased with their services, however since that first time I have not been happy at all and I can guarantee that I will no longer go back there again. I co own a puppy who has a beautiful fluffy coat. Initially we got the mini cut where they kept his coat beautiful & fluffy and they trimmed his fur while maintaining the integrity of breed / coat.Since then it's gone down hill. We've taken him to get a bath& brush special, which we got our puppy back damp. Then we got a full cut where they shaved him completely down and scooped all the hair out of his face when we specially told them not to. The final straw was when we gave them verbal & text instructions with photos from what they did last and he came back with his fur shaved down on his face and completely uneven. I could understand if the fur was damaged or matted but he's brushed and groomed by us daily. We even got compliments from them about how they could tell we groom him. Not to mention my puppy who's normally very cheerful & friendly now cries when he comes inside. He drags his feet and shakes once they try to take him to the back. Of course I cannot conclude what has happened but its a major red flag in addition to how they do not follow directions. I'm unsure what the problem may be, or how we are lost in translation but unfortunately I'll have to find a groomer who can respect our wishes.
Locally owned business that's not too large, so your dog doesn't get forgotten in the crowd. Great price, and the owner had flexible hours, just give him a call ahead of time.
This was the best boarding for our dog Sandy. Nobody would take care because she would get very anxious and nervous and bark a lot. From the moment we took her here, the owner allowed Sandy to sniff him and let her walk around. In no time she was running around and playing. She spent 15 days here and they were great. We got updates and the price was affordable. I will leave Sandy here anyday. Thank you Carlos!
"your pets home away from home"
Avoid this place. I boarded my lovely dog here overnight last week, and she ended up in surgery due to their pervasively inadequate practices. First, their maintenance is unacceptable. My dog tore herself open three, yes three, times on their poorly maintained chain link fence when she was put in with a group of aggressive dogs bigger than her. (employees tell me it is being replaced in two months. Whoopee!) Two of the injuries were deep and required stiches. a silver dollar sized hole was opened in her coat, One puncture was so deep it almost went all the way through the muscle to the thorax. Secondly, their monitoring is inadequate. Nobody there saw the injuries happen, and they didn't even notice them when they changed my dog to a group of smaller dogs, too late. Eventually the hole in the coat became apparent, even to them. Third, their attention to instructions is not acceptable. I always provide an extra day of food just in case some event interferes with my picking the dog up on time, such as a cancelled flight. So this group ignored instructions on how much to feed and gave the dog 2 days of food in one day. Ordinarily not the worst problem, except that surgery had to be delayed because of too much food in the system (asphyxiation risk while under anesthesia). Lastly, the response was uncaring. I have yet to hear from the owner asking how the dog is! Indeed, since I picked the dog up, nobody there has called me. In the two conversations I had, when I picked the dog up and once when I called to tell them what the vet said had occurred, both employees told me early in the conversation the owner wanted me to know they wouldn't necessarily pay for the vet, but might "work something out". For the record, I did not ask for their money and will not take their money. i want to be free to tell you the truth. But I thought it disgusting that they initiated 2 conversations on how they wouldn't stand behind their responsibilities, while not calling me to see how my lovely dog is recovering. Incidentally, Camp Bow Wow is a franchise operation, and my dog is a continuing client at another excellent location that just didn't happen to be convenient to flights from Tampa Airport.
