J&K Moving Labor and Hauling

Scheduled an appointment to move out of storage just across town, small move, with J&K moving. They mentioned they would call me prior to to showing up to confirm appointment. 30 minutes prior to the appointment still no call, so I called them to make sure they were still coming. They apparently lost their appointment schedule but assured me they would get people over to me right away. I asked how long approximately and they said, "it shouldn't be long".

1 hour passed and no word or site, so I called back to find out what was going on, rings to voicemail. Call again a few minutes later, same thing. I leave a voicemail asking for information about whats going on while I wait at the storage site.

Another hour passes (2 hours from appointment time) still no response, I call again, no answer still. They are now fully dodging my calls can have not responded to me at all.

If you actually need your things moved don't trust this service.

Just awful. Used them twice, the first time they were just unloading a truck into an apartment. They showed up well over an hour late but did OK.



The second time we used them to load a U-pack trailer to be moved across the country. They showed up over two hours late after calling and saying they were 10 minutes behind. They loaded the truck worse than possible. They made the bottom layer light boxes with labels like "Undershirts" and stacked books and heavy tools on top of them. Needless to say the entire load collapsed during transport causing extensive damage to all of the furniture within. They refused to take any calls or respond to e-mails to discuss it. Hire anyone else but them.

Please be aware that this moving company is NOT to be trusted. My family and I recently hired them to help with our move at the end of July. Not only did they show up over an hour late, they also failed to load all of our household items into our 20' Uhaul truck and didn't honor their hourly rate of $25/hr as advertised on their website. Lastly, they stole our baby stroller and refused to return it to us, even after contacting Bloomington PD (Officer Justin Taylor) and having a report filed. Please spread the word and do NOT use this sham of a company.

The "owner" showed up at our apartment at 4pm, like we had agreed on, took on look at all our furniture to be moved, and said "I'll be back-just need to pick up my truck". We waited until 7pm, and he NEVER CAME BACK. He refused to pick up any phone calls, text messages, emails. Nothing. No response. He completely screwed me and my family over and it was too late to order a uhaul or a truck from Budget (all those offices close around 5pm). So we were stuck with a living room filled with furniture, no beds to sleep on, etc. This is the worst and most unprofessional "company" I have ever encountered. I have filed a formal complaint against them with the Central Indiana Bureau for Better Business.

Shawn and Frankie moved my family from Bloomington to Indianapolis. Both gentlemen were polite and friendly from start to finish. They worked very efficiently and took good care of our belongings. Would recommend.

Great movers. No problems at all. Second time I have used their services. Very friendly and professional! Would Recommend.

NOT professional movers. They scratched/damaged a bunch of my furniture - they don't bring blankets/quilts to wrap items and are very careless with things. If you want them to haul garbage great - if you want your furniture to be in great condition look elsewhere.

this company is a rip off,they steal from you,abuse your belongings and add charges after the job is complete!
