Crowns
If you have a tooth or multiple teeth that are missing, a dental implant may be the right replacement choice for you. A dental implant is a prosthetic replacement for a missing tooth, which replaces both the root and crown of your missing tooth.
Bridges
A long-term solution for tooth replacement – While traditional methods, such as tooth-supported dental bridges, have a 7-10 year life on average, a dental implant can last a lifetime if properly placed and cared for. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Dr. Kelling is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon proficient in all aspects of oral surgery. He is a diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesia (NDBA). Dr. Kelling is also a member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Foundation (OMSF), a foundation with the goal of promoting research initiatives providing an evidence-based rationale for the treatment of patients undergoing oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
Jaw Surgery
Orthognathic surgery, also known as corrective jaw surgery, is a common procedure performed for patients whose jaws do not meet correctly, creating an improper bite and misalignment of the jaw. For some individuals, the problem can be corrected without jaw surgery with their orthodontist. If the problem is severe, the orthodontist will need to work with an oral surgeon to correct the bite with orthognathic surgery.
Pre-prosthetic Surgery

Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Condry was raised in the Washington, DC, metro area. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD, he attended the University of Maryland Dental School. While there, he received many accolades and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect average. He was then granted advanced standing at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and graduated (earning clinical honors) obtaining his M.D. He then completed an internship in general surgery and then a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. During this time, he developed an interest in facial cosmetic surgery and decided to pursue fellowship training in cosmetic surgery. He was offered a coveted fellowship position through the Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. In this fellowship, he was cross trained by maxillofacial, cosmetic, general plastic, and oculoplastic surgeons.
Tooth Extractions
Prior to scheduling your procedure, your doctor will perform a complete oral exam and take an x-ray of the area in which the tooth must be removed. Your doctor will form a plan for tooth removal, taking into consideration your age, the presence of gum disease, and your tooth’s relationship with other areas of your mouth, such as your sinuses, nerves, and other teeth. Most tooth extractions can be completed during a single surgical visit.
Bone Grafting
The material used to create a bone graft can be obtained from a variety of sources. If you are able to utilize your own bone, it will likely be taken from another area inside the mouth around the third molar in the upper or lower jaw or the chin, or from your hip or tibia. More commonly, banked bone or substitute bone mineral is utilized in minor bone grafting situations. If you are not a candidate to use your own bone, it can be obtained from a tissue bank or a mineral bone substitute can be used.
