Dear Dr. Benjamin - Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for giving me the smile that is beyond what I could have dreamed belonging to me! Since I was a young adult we had discussed that I would eventually need veneers because of the damage I had done to my teeth as a result of my constant grinding, and for years I always just thought my teeth were "fine". You told me we could do better than just "fine". It was your intense desire to give me a smile that was perfect for me - not just the same set of teeth you gave you last patient - that brought me all the way from Spokane, WA to have you work on my case. You gave me and my teeth your undivided attention, hand formed my temporary teeth so that I could really see what I would look like in the end, and wouldn't let me leave your office until I had a flawless smile. When I came home, my friends and family (who did not know I was having veneers done) could only tell me that I looked great, but could not tell me exactly why. That, I will say, is the ultimate compliment. You are not only an incredible dentist, but you are truly an artist as well.
Crowns
A patient has broken a tooth or has a cavity. The dentist may place a silver/mercury filling in a tooth to patch the broken or diseased part of the tooth. These fillings turn black over time, permit the seepage of saliva underneath or around the filling over time and ultimately may weaken the remaining natural tooth. Sometimes a gold or porcelain with metal crown is used to repair and strengthen the broken or diseased tooth. Classical dentistry repairs front teeth with porcelain to metal crowns that often show black lines around the gum area of the tooth. These crowns also frequently cause the gum tissue to recede or become inflamed because some people have sensitivity to the metal which contains little or no gold or noble metal. Front teeth are often repaired with white resin so that the injury or decayed part of the tooth is repaired. Classical dentistry makes little or no effort to make the repair invisible and often the filling shows an outline of the injured or decayed area.
Bridges
Aligning with his "whole person" philosophy, Dr. Benjamin believes it takes a "whole team" to achieve the long lasting effects of a great smile. He combines his esthetic dentistry in collaboration with the patient's classic/cosmetic dentistry professionals. Consultation and mutual respect are guiding principles in developing partnerships with a patient's dental practitioner(s). A patient's classic dentist often performs the needed routine procedures such as fillings, dental bridges, caps, etc.; while the cosmetic dentist builds upon healthy teeth to improve their appearance, as with popular whitening procedures. Dr. Benjamin then applies his art and science specialty, with the most comprehensive level of advance cosmetic intervention that can lengthen, shape, lighten and straighten teeth to perfection, leaving teeth looking brand new.
Dental Bonding

Dr. Benjamin has been teaching dental students, post-doctoral graduate dentists, and practicing dentists for many years. He teaches dentists the full spectrum of restorative dentistry from placing high level direct bonding white resins in any area of the mouth to comprehensive dental treatment.

Root Canal Treatment
Dr Benjamin coordinated the three year, live patient, full mouth rehabilitation course. The restorative dentist is always the head of the specialty teams and sequences treatment among the orthodontist, implant surgeon and endodontist. 25 area dentists attended the 34 hour course over a 36 month period which gave our patient THE best dentistry that the team was capable of irrespective of the cost of care. This was a one of a kind course that we have not found to have been done anywhere else in the nation. Root Canal Experts Education Center, 2011-2014.

Periodontal Surgery
My direct resin mockup revealed that minor periodontal surgery was necessary to make her gum tissues smaller and teeth longer.
