I was at Duval's with my wife eating dinner on 2/16/2017 The Chef (owner Donald Edward Duval jr with 5 other male employees passed us and encircled a senior man about 70 years old who was sitting at the bar having a drink and minding his own business. The owner started to raise his voice and appeared to force the man outside. From where we were sitting The 5 employees encircled the man and the owner a 6 foot guy started to push the man and knocked him down while his employees boxed him in so he couldn't get away from them. If you enjoy thugs cooking your dinner and serving it to you Duval's is the place to go. When I got home I asked a friend of mine to look up Donald Edward Duval jr. DOB 11/xx/19xx in Sarasota. I was told he was arrested for a DUI in December 2015 had a Restraining Order in his file in addition to about 8 Traffic infractions including no Auto Insurance or Registration. My wife and I went out for a relaxing enjoyable evening. We will never go in to that CLASSLESS DUMP again. CHEF DUVAL IS A DANGEROUS AND VIOLENT GUY. HE AND HIS MALE STAFF LIKE TO BEAT UP SENIOR CITIZENS.
Fantastic new restaurant for the area. Farm to table goodness and craft beers. Not cheap though so beware
SKOB is a must for young, middle age, and older .... Tasty, consistent eats, fantastic happy hour, kid friendly atmosphere with coloring books for kids, live bands , and friendly service. I never regret having lunch or dinner at SKOB and recommend it to family, friends, and strangers !
The place is only average. It's NOT worth the long waits or the upscale menu prices!!!
The food was fair. It wasn't stellar but okay for bar food. We were on vacation and were told this was a good place to watch the Florida Georgia game. We were enjoying the game, but at half time the owner turned off the Forida Georgia game on all TVs! Having just bought a round of drinks, we asked the waitress if the game was going to be put back on on any of the TVs. We were surprised when she said "no", "that's it", "end of story" and "go talk to the owner if you don't like it". We decided they didn't need any more of our money and went somehwere else to finish the game.
The food is to die for!! For appetizers, we had the chicken and feta flat bread which is seasoned to perfection with the most amazing ingredients. For the entree, we enjoyed the stonewood filet Oscar style - a little pricy but worth every penny! As far as the service, we were very impressed. The waiter was friendly and professional, and the kitchen manager even came out greet us and make sure we were enjoying our experience. As for the atmosphere, the lighting was romantic and quiet, great for a date or a night out. You won't regret it!
This place was very good! Our waitress was awesome! For a family of 5 we paid 117. Well worth it!
I love both the food and the ambience in this restaurant. Always an enjoyable experience. Waiters could be a touch friendlier.
The Stonewood Grill is one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is very nice, the food is gourmet quality and the staff are very friendly. My favorite dish is the scallop and shrimp Kabob. Prices are reasonable to.
