After a hike up Montecito Peak, we were starving & happened to stumble upon East Beach Tacos. It's basically a taco stand & you eat outside next to batting cages. But don't let that turn you away. The tacos (and other food) are great & very affordable. They have traditional tacos + some unique flavors. Great casual dining. Good for lunch or an afternoon/after hike snack.

Sundays. senora makes fabulous tortillas on outdoor grill. The carnitas ROCK. The salsas are zippy but don't burn. Genuine palapa feel and great value.
This is quality Mexican food. Not goop. The people are very nice and the food is fabulous. There will be nothing familiar on the menu but try a chicken taco and number 16. Wow fabulous!!
I have loved Rudy's for years, we eat there at least twice a week. After today, they are dead to me! We were just treated so rudely. My husband waited in line to order our breakfast while I sat outside with our dog. Some guy who came in after us jumped to the front of the line & the staff did nothing, oh well they did something: they took his order & told my husband to wait. When my husband got frustrated & walked out they yelled something about the other guy having a phone in order. Really...really did this guy learn nothing in kindergarten about waiting in line. We walked out & will NEVER walk in again! I hope some manager out there in Rudy's land reads this & teaches his staff customer service!
great food!! good prices!
