This is a for profit agency that provides group home services for ICF mentally disabled persons. The company is a business which used to be one of the best in Texas however, shortly after 2009 administrators became more profit focused and continued to pay staff at the state minimum wage and has denied staff pays increases or cost of living increases going on 3 years now. A bitter relationship has emerged between administrators and the employees who directly deal with clients. The direct care staff is belittled and talked to in the rudest manner causing what used to be a staff made up of mostly educated college students or retired professionals to be replaced by San Antonio's laziest and incompetent employees some of who do not have a high school diploma or GED and don't care about these clients but will work under these conditions for a small paycheck. It's a shame the company did not show more appreciation for the hard work and care of their staff. Please think twice before allowing your loved ones to be placed here you'll be surprised to learn the person working here makes less than the high school kids at McDonalds and endures constant criticism, no appreciation and often becomes upset taking it out on the job. Ask questions and you will find high employee turnover among, staff, supervisors and LVNs
