I went on Mother's Day May 10th. Live music which i thought would make this place decent. Walked in, sat at a table, family of 7, pretty hard to miss us and the server didn't even notice us. 20 minutes went by before I went up to the register and asked for menus. The waitress then said she would be right with us, which took another 10 mins. We ordered our food and waited 1hour and 25 minutes to get our food. The server brought us 2 wrong plates. I ordered Nachos, what can go wrong with Nachos? The beans were old , dry and tasted as if they just had used yesterdays re-fried beans. The rice was salty and tasted like ground cumin. I ordered a quesadilla with fries for my 4 year old. Even the quesadilla was disgusting. It was greasy and soggy. The fries were stale. My four year old said "Mom I like McDonald's fries, this is nasty". I sent the Nachos back and the quesadilla order. A side or rice and beans was ordered and I sent that back too. I asked the server to get my bill and charge what we ate, and cancel the rest of our order for our party of 7. However, that took another 15 minutes for her to come back, only to tell me they would only remove the Nachos and a plate of shrimp which they hadn't even brought out to our table. I asked to speak to the owner. The owner was rude and unapologetic, no customer service at all. Everything about this place was terrible. The owner is even worse than the server. I will never go back to this place again. ZERO stars for this place. Worst place I have ever been to. Such a waste of our time. We didn't even eat the food. With the plates they charged us with plus fountain drinks and 2 micheladas, our order was $160 plus. What a waste of money. This place made my mother and my grandmother have the worst Mother's Day dinner. Never again!

This is one of my favorite shush restaurant to go to, I love everything they have and service is great.
Very friendly. I loved the food and the environment. I will be going back soon. Maybe even one of my top places to eat
Drool....sushi. servers remember your name and the food is to die for. I wish I could go more often.
I wish they would open up a location in Roseville. We stop here every time we are in mid-town Sac. Whoever thought of sushi burritos is genius. We've tried several different kinds now and they've all been good. So yummy! Then we hop on over to Ginger Elizabeth's for some sweet desserts! That's another review!
VEGANS BEWAREI first went to Lou's Sushi about 1 year ago for the Vegan Chef Challenge and have been there about a dozen times since. I have been a vegan for about 17 years and was very excited that a local sushi spot had a vegan menu. Today, I found out that several of their "vegan rolls" are, in fact, not vegan! This is how it transpired. We ordered the tempura vegetables and asked the server to double-check that they were really vegan since they are listed in the vegetarian menu and not in the vegan menu. Our server, after speaking with the chef, informed us that they used egg whites in the tempura batter. This was a little disheartening since we have ordered those every time we had been there in the past. We had asked our previous servers to double check this as well and they assured us they were vegan. Obviously, the servers were not informed correctly in the past. Of course, we were not very happy about this, but totally understand these types of mistakes happen when you are a vegan - caveat emptor. After about eating half of the "vegan" rolls we ordered, I realized that there was tempura vegetables in the rolls. We asked our server to check if this was the same batter with the egg whites in it. The server spoke with the chef again and came back to tell us that their are egg whites in the tempura for the vegan rolls. At this point, I was not very happy at all so I asked to speak to Lou about this. He did not seem very concerned about this in the least. All he said was he wasn't aware there were in egg whites in the tempura. I found this very hard to believe that he didn't know what was in the tempura batter at his restaurant. Lou didn't even have the courtesy to apologize!Hopefully, Lou will remedy this at once and not keep serving un-vegan food to vegans.
Awesome, awesome, AWESOME!!! One of my most favorite spots to lunch with my ladies. We love making our individual bowls unique, and the ingredients are always fresh. Try the crunchy garlic -- out of this world goodness!
Never disappointed. The freshest of fish and great selection. My absolute favorite is toro and they have it almost every time and it melts in my mouth always. If you're ever thinking sushi in East Sac, there really is no other option.
We Have Eaten Here For Years And Have Never Been disappointed. Food is fresh, tasty and nicely presented. Have been to lots of sushi places, including Mikunis and Kintaro's. Always end up back here for a happy experience.
Fantastic. I love, I Love Teriyaki, if you should go try the spicy honey chicken or spicy pork both are awesome.
