I was told by my neighbor that the food was great, so I was surprised when I was so disappointed by my meal. I ordered my food to go, but I don't think that had anything to do with the quality, since it only took me 5 mins. to get home and it was all still very hot when I arrived home. I found the egg rolls to be very greasy and the insides were soggy and over-cooked. The Wor-Wonton soup was like no Wor-Wonton I'd every had. Usually it includes wonton, veggies and one or more meats (shrimp. BBQ pork, chicken) but this soup contained only wonton and bok choy in a very tasteless broth. The Mu-Shu Pork had very good flavor, but the normal delicate rice pancakes seemed to have been substituted with flour tortillas - big, tough and thick that cracked when trying to roll them around the filling. To top it off, even one of the fortune cookies was missing it's fortune (I know, not their fault, but still 'the icing on the cake'....) Too bad, not a good first impression.
I go here once a week for lunch and am rarely disappointed. They have $6-$7 lunch specials which are huge and delicious. You get soup, egg roll, one entrée, rice and noodles. The service is very quick and there is never a wait to be seated. They were closed at one point then re-opened a year or so ago much to my relief. Only draw backs are that it is a ways from Roseville and not super fancy.
My favorite Chinese restaurant! The food is great and staff is friendly. Try the lunch special. It changes everyday of the week. It is a better value than the grocery store near by, and just might be faster. It certainly tastes much better. My cure all for anything that ails me is the Hot and Sour soup. I hope you will try this restaurant and enjoy the food as much as I do!
We stopped here after seeing a show at the Community Center. We had to go through a line to order our food, but it was brought to our table quickly. We both had chicken teriyaki over noodles. The food was very tasty and the amount of chicken in the dish was very generous--many large pieces.
Went in ten minutes till 9 and they still let us in to eat. They had already started cleaning up the buffet and they went ahead and put everything back for us. They were very nice people, with excellent customer service, and the food was amazing. They have the best potstickers ever.
The best quick serve Asian food restaurant in downtown. The noodles are tasty and cooked perfectly. Right across from the Capitol and near the community center it gets busy but never slow that you can't make the show on time. Portions are large for the price you pay.
The food here is really good! The service is pretty good most of the time as well. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because one time I had a receipt on my plate on the bottom of my rice when I was packing up my leftovers. Kind of gross.
A great place to eat on an hour lunch break. They get you through the line and eating in no time. Lots of choices from noodles and rice to salads and spring rolls. Love the Chinese chicken salad! A favorite for downtown and state employees.
Orange chicken is one of the best dishes there. They have remodeled the inside and now have counter seating. The bar is now opened up. They have been open on Mondays lately but were told tonight they are going back to closed on Mondays.
Very affordable and tasty chinese food. The staff is always delightful. I would recommend this restaurant if you want yummy chinese. Our favorites are hot & sour soup, mongolian beef, sesame chicken, chow mein, and seafood wontons.
