My son is in the military and bought a car in El Paso Tx. I took over payments when he went to Kuwait. He got the transmission replaced in El Paso by an AAMCO store that warrantied the transmission for a year with unlimited mileage, that cost over $3200. Long story short, we ended up at the AAMCO in Rolla Mo because the transmission went out again. On the last day of the warranty. Brock the manager, said it was no longer warranted and that we would need to pay full price of $3200. I said no it is still under warranty, that he needs to check the date again and I needed it taken care of. I contacted the other AAMCO and the gentleman there told me Brock the current AAMCO told him it was out of warranty. I explained to the gentleman in Texas that it was delivered to Brock's AAMCO in Rolla out of the date but was towed before warranty was up. The AAMCO agreed to send Brock another transmission. Brock then told us at that point that it would cost you $1200 for us to put it in. He finally got the part after 5-6 weeks of having it in his shop. I asked him about the warranty on the car. He told me that he would not warrant the car and then turned around and Said he would only warrant the car for six months. Brock finally took the transmission out and then he told me that we would have to replace the drive shaft with some spindles and the total cost would be what he originally quoted me, $3200. This was after he had the car for approximately 6 weeks. He tripled his original quote and expected me to pay for it. When I got the bill he charged over $2400 in labor. The part that he installed only cost $700. The whole process was not fair and in order to get my car back I had to pay Brock his money. Now, I am out over $6000 because of AAMCO not fixing the problem from the beginning.
I was surprised to see the negative reviews, not that they could be false but my experience has been always positive. They do quick work and the price is standard, in fact many times they have been better. I bring all my vehicles here and probably will continue to in the future. Everyone I have worked with has been professional and friendly. So I recommend giving it a try
Some good and some bad reviews so I thought I would give them a chance. The free computer scan leads to $85 complete auto scan so they exactly pinpoint the problem. The manager is a jerk. The mechanics are OK. It's more of a management issue. I will not go back.
This shop saved our road trip. During our trip from AZ to MI, the engine light went on and our motor was stalling a lot. We looked for a shop and they had a sign that said "free engine light check" and that was what we needed as we were on a super tight budget. They promptly found the problem, fixed it and had us on our way for shortly for a mere $ 58.00. They were polite, friendly and trustworthy. Don't hesitate to get your car repaired there. They know what they are doing.
Great service! Had to go in a couple times this past year and they offered me the best pricing compared to other local shops. They also are awesome at keeping me informed about what's going on with my car. I'm pretty lost when it comes to car stuff and they explain it very well. Very good at giving me a professional opinion and have been awesome to work with!
We had transmission trouble on 8-27-15 while driving on I44. We are not from this area and had no idea who to call. The tow truck driver highly recommended A&G transmission service. We had the transmission rebuilt in one day and it works great and the price was very fair. This is the only place to go to get your car fixed. Jim H. Springfield, Mo
Be careful bringing your vehicles here. Also ALWAYS record everything they say because none of them, especially the manager, care to tell the truth when things go wrong. I have two vehicles messed up by them. Be careful if something messes up, they don't fix things properly leading to more expenses down the road (sometimes replacing the EXACT same thing), IF you can even get them to fix what they should in the first place. Also it appears from my experience they go through your vehicle, I wouldnt leave ANYTHING personal in there about ANY of your vehicles or personal life.
If you like to be cheated, you can go to this place. Actually when I went to this place, almost all of them they told me are not the truth. They would aggregate the problem and asked for several thousands dollars.
Really very very bad. The manager is not telling the truth when I go to that place. I would say he is lying from beginning to the end. I actually know the problem of my car. But the price he asked is much more than the actual price. And he tried to cheat me from beginning to end that the problem is very very big. So what should I say? Nobody is a fool even they seem to be like they do not know anything about the car.
Worst repair place in rolla, would not suggest it, they don't know what they're doing
