A.J. Bedford Group, Inc has a history of 20 years of providing professional survey consulting services throughout the metroplex and all of north Texas. The company was originally established as a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying company in July of 1989 as Kurtz-Bedford & Associates. In the passing of Jim Kurtz in November of 2000, Mr. Bedford reorganized as A.J. Bedford Group to focus his services in providing strictly professional surveying services. This change enabled the company to spread their professional surveying servce expertise to other professional engineers througout the metroplex for the past 9 years. Mr. Bedford has 32 years of surveying experience and at the age of 22 became the youngest Registered Professional Land Surveyor to pass the state board exam in 1983. He has proven his leadership skills through the years by serving as president of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors' local Dallas chapter in 1985. He also served on various committees at the state level with TSPS. In the public sector, Mr. Bedford served on the Planning and Zoning commission for the prominent Town of Sunnyvale from 1996 to 2003. He was chairman of that Commission 4 of the 7 years of his term. In the private sector Mr. Bedford has served as President of Lone Star Team Penning Association in 1995, 1996 & 1997. He also served as President of Lone Star Cutting Horse Association in 1999 & 2000. He has also served as a national director for Area 24 with the renowned National Cutting Horse Association. A.J. Bedford Group prides it's self with having state of the art technology looping the AutoCAD based software and automated drafting in the office to a field to finish product utilizing the Robotic field equipment, Global Positioning Experience and laptop computers for the field crews.
