We requested a custom fur sewing project. It apparently was too difficult but instead of saying so she provided a terrible finished product with the straps sewn on inside out, and too short to even be useable had it been sewn on correctly. When we showed up to see how the project was going several days before it was to be delivered, she refused to show it to us. Well that was because she hadn't even started on it. So when we arrived to pick it up we were horrified with how terrible the results were. The owner is difficult to work with and blames the client for her shoddy workmanship. She is also over priced. Take your project elsewhere.

When I first drove up to the store front I was a little skeptical because it's an older, less glamorous looking store. But I couldn't have been more surprised. The job was done in a very friendly, professional, timely, cost effective way and the quality of the alteration was beyond reproach. I can't say enough positive about these guys and I will be sending everyone I know to them.
I don't want to bad mouth the big box stores when it comes to formal wear, but do yourself a favor and take everything you own to Holladay Furs. Regardless of the fact that many offer free alterations, I can tell you without a doubt that you will be much better off with a professional consultation from Elizabeth. I have been thrilled with everything I have taken there.
I called the store the day before I went in and they told me that I would be able to go in the next day to rush order my dress to be hemmed. When I came in the worker there was extremely rude, she offered to rush order the dress and when I said I would be willing to pay for the rush order, she said she was too busy to get it done. Once we had finished our conversation I stated I would take it to another store and she basically pushed me out the door. I would suggest not using this service.
I had the hem of a new linen dress lengthened and when I noticed that the lining also needed lengthening, I was told to bring it back in and the tailor had it done by the end of the day. Not only did she do a great job but didn't charge me for adding the lining! Now that was a nice surprise! I plan on taking more work back to this shop and would recommend it to others!
