“I grew up in Plano, Texas where I then moved to Austin to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. From there, I then completed my Medical Degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.I developed a desire to become a child neurologist while completing a pediatrics residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I decided to come back to my beloved Texas and train in child neurology at the University of Texas at Southwestern in Dallas. There I learned to care for children with several different neurologic conditions such as epilepsy, autism, developmental delay and cerebral palsy.

“I grew up in Ohio and moved to Baltimore to do a dual degree in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University. Life led me to Cincinnati, where I got my M.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati. For the next 5 years I trained in child neurology at the University of Louisville and Kosair Children’s Hospital caring for kids with neurological conditions such as: brain injury, headaches, strokes, seizures, tics, autism, developmental delay, and cerebral palsy.

“I am a Texas native, who grew up and went to college in Houston before moving north for medical school. I tried my hand as a soccer referee, a dairy farmer, a wedding photographer, and a teacher before deciding on medicine, and I have travelled extensively, having lived in or visited over 25 countries on five continents. I live with my wife, our two daughters, and two dogs in Allen, and I spend my free time trying to convince my daughters that I am cool. Please be advised that all calls for a physician will be returned within 1-2 business days based on the urgency of the call, per the physician. All EEG, MRI/CT, and lab results will be available after 2-3 business days. Ambulatory EEGs will take 10-14 days to result. Chromosome test results will be available after 12-16 weeks. Sleep Studies will be available after 2-3 weeks.

From 2017-2018 I completed a specialty fellowship in treating more chronic symptoms related to headache and concussion. I am now proficient in performing Botox injections for chronic migraine treatment as well as nerve blocks to help relieve other kinds of head pain.
