I had the pleasure of meeting Amy, Jerry and some of the other staff at Authorized Motor Service Inc. when my transmission needed to be replaced. Although the company that sold me my extended warranty for my 2000 Dodge Intrepid was giving me some outrageous demands that they wanted to take place before they paid anything, Jerry and Amy went to bat for me. And although I ended up cancelling my policy with that warranty company before it was too late, I still ended up saving a lot of money by paying only half of what the transmission would have cost. Amy is the BEST, because she moved heaven and earth to make this happen for me, and she also surprised me by having it replaced ahead of schedule. You can’t beat service like that. It is so reassuring to know that in today’s society, there are still small business out there that are all about customer service and satisfaction, and not what they can get out of you. Authorized Motor Service Inc. in South Philadelphia blows AAMCO out of the water when it comes to customer service, satisfaction and honesty! They DEFINATLEY GET TWO THUMBS UP FROM ME!!!

I am from another shop that could not fix my vehicle, they kept saying I needed this or that. I got tired of spending money. I googled engine repair and found Authorized. These people are great, they walked me through everything from start to finish. I was not expecting to need an engine. But I did, I had to go for a used one, as i could not afford to do remanufactured. They got the job done when they said, saved me on rental car charges. They even checked my parts and let me know what was bad. Aim walked me through the process, answered my questions. She even got the mechanic on the phone for my partner, they had questions about the job in general. They did the job right. I am so happy with their work, that I am a repeat customer. I was reading the review that this guy wrote., think there is a misunderstanding. So people you can never please. This shop would not be in business for all these years and be so successful if what he said is true. He just seems like a man that is unhappy in general. So do not listen to him, look at all the wonderful reviews that this company has had. I am even sending a couple of friends there, they are having minor issues with their vehicles.

I wish i googled before letting that other shop milk me for all my money. GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!!!!! You will be happy that you did. The work they did was top notch. Will not let any other shop touch my car. They are very professional, friendly, fast in getting vehicle back to you. If there is a problem, they call you about. Again, best thing you can do is GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!! They are true mechanics

DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took my GMC 3500 U-haul truck to them on 6/17/13 was told by the female receptionist Amy the engine needed to be pulled out of the truck and torn down to see if it could be saved and that it would cost $1,000 to pull it but if it needed a new engine the $1,000 would be used towards the cost of the replacement motor. I asked if it needed a replacement how long would I be without the truck. I was told it would only take about 3 days...FIRST LIE! I paid the $1,000 and after a few days was told my engine was no good because of cracked pistons. I was told my options were a re manufactured engine or a used engine. I opted for the used engine. After about a week I called for my truck and was told by Amy the engine had not been shipped yet...probably the SECOND LIE! After more days went by I was told the truck would not be finished until 7/8/13...two weeks!!! because the whole shop was going on vacation....VACATION?? after receiving my $1,000 deposit? I was told that all the mechanics had to do was finish up and test drive the truck when they returned...probably the THIRD LIE!!! 7/8/13 NO CALL FROM THEM! 7/9/13 NO CALL!!! 7/10/13 NO CALL!!!! finally on 7/11/13 I CALLED THEM! and was told by Amy "oh your truck is done you can come pick it up" I get there pay the $2,295 balance drive the truck from south Philly to West Oak Lane...a 20 min drive. While on the road I noticed truck ran like crap, loud tapping and no power! I get the truck home and take it to a local shop on my neighborhood and the mechanic there checked the truck and found all the bold were loose on the manifold and NO gaskets!!!! I call back to Authorized Motor Services and Amy tried to talk over me! Telling me they don't put gaskets on motors that come in. What??? I pay $3,295 and you send the truck out with exhaust leaks and wont put on manifold gaskets? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? She even has the nerve to tell me to tell the mechanic who pointed out their poor work to try an tighten the manifold bolts!!!!!! Now let me get this straight...I am supposed to pay someone else to do the work I ALREADY PAID YOU TO DO????? Poor work, lots of double talk and out right lies! I had to argue with her to bring the truck back tomorrow. They are either going to fix my truck right or we go to court! I am not going to argue with her and I am the CUSTOMER! DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

Going to this engine place was the best decision i have made regarding mechanics. I had gotten the run around. Took it there and spoke to Gerry. He was straight to the point and didn't play around. He told me what the problem was, and he explained and showed me........ I never gotten such good service from anywhere else. I am soo happy with them!!!!!!!! My vehicle runs like a dream now, no more problems...So thank you Gerry and everyone else at Authorized for making it so easy to fix this, what was stressful, turned out to be alittle less because of you guys.... You are stuck with me for life....Thank you again.....

I went to a friend's mechanic, he promised me he would replace my seized engine with a used engine. It wouldn't take him that long, boy!!! how wrong that was. He still had my car a month later.He never even started the work on it.. All I have gotten was the run around from him.

I called this place just to see how much and much more important how long. They told me the price and it would be the longest 4 days. I got my car out of that shop took it to them, and they had my old engine out and the used engine installed, I was driving it out on the 3rd day.

Now that is service, turns out the mechanic never really did an engine replacement, he wasn't sure what to do. I would have liked him to be honest with me. I would have taken my car back if he would have done that, now I will just take down to South Philly, its out of my way, but I know I am getting an honest answer with fast service. What more can a guy ask for.

Went to some guy cause i was hearing noises from my engine. He kepts saying you need an engine, he never even really did anything to determine this. So I got it to Authorized, they did tests, they determined that a couple of my valves needed to be replaced. I didn't need an engine. They saved me alot of money. The best thing I did was to take it to them. When dealing with problems like this you need to take it to someone who works on engines everyday, or you will be taken for a ride. I almost was. Best decision I ever made. My vehicle is running like new.

I had a remanufactured engine installed in my blazer. They got my truck back to me in 4 days. They checked everything over a let me know about bad parts. They even invited me down to see for myself. When I picked up my truck, they saved the parts for me to see. They went over everything when I picked up. They made me feel very good about my decision about fixing my own truck. If I would have gotten another truck I could be in worse shape, then i was in. I knew what I have done to my vehicle. Best choice I made by going there.
