Jacques A. (Very dissatisfied customer) This business is so dishonest my husband took his truck to be repaired for transmission work to this day after taking the truck back 3 times his transmission still leaks will not go into gear. This business AA Transmission on Germantown Avenue Must Be Stopped My Husband paid $1,000 to have his transmission repair and to this day his truck is still down the transmission never work the work that he said he did for it has not been done it leaks all the time does not go into gear you cannot drive the truck. To top it off my husband actually almost kills himself in the truck because of the shifter completely dislodged and my husband was not able to put the car in park. This is why we're taking him to court and we're going to sue him and anybody else that's associated with AATransmission on Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

Ernie the proprietor is an honest and generally all around good guy. The placed does not look like much but the guys working there are good mechanics that actually care about the person and the car. I have been a customer there for over 15 years and will be devastated if they ever decide to retire.
Had two old cars done at Affordable, since last summer. For serious and expensive repairs, I would not recommend anywhere else. Great work, saved me thousands, and I'm still rolling!
i love this shop the best trust me!!!!!
Terrible service. I called to have vehicle picked up and never got a call back even after leaving voice messages. Shouldn't even have one star as a rating!
my car broke down coming back from boston in new york had a shop there tow and check the car and charged me $700 and they said i needed an engine price $4700 so i called affortable transmission to come tow and do the repair and after they checked my car told me it wasn't the engine got it fixed towing from new york to philly and repair total cost $1050 very honest does great work i highly recommend this place .
Listen do not ever ever take ur car to these people. I took my wife truck to get a rebuilt transmission and a torque converter. The first day i gt it back the transmission was leaking. Took it back and they so called fixed it. Two weeks later the car wouldn't move. Took it back and so called it was fixed again. Two weeks later same thing. Now this time it was the converter and transmission and the lines. Payed him more money for the lines and another two weeks to get the car. Picked it up today and went to pick my wife up from work and guess what. The car wouldnt move, get out the car and there is transmission fluid everywhere and im an hour from my house. I going to sue these creeps.
Driving a tow truck in Phila since 1976 until 2010 I dealt with a lot of transmission shops and I learned quickly the place to have my transmissions repaired was Chuck's! I have had several rebuilt with no issues and I never towed any back for problems from being rebuilt here. I now live in DE and still only use and HIGHLY recommend Chuck's! Tell them "Marty the Towman" recommended you! You won't be disappointed.
Was recommended by a mechanic who does not perform transmission work. I spoke to him and he told what he was going to do to repair the vehicles several problems. did 1 part of the repair then left the vehicle sit for another week with no communication after. So promises made work not performed. Still have to tie up my vehicle for more time to get it fixed. Thanks for nothing
I had a gift certificate to get my car detailed at affordable detail, contacted all affordable transmissions who stated they took over the detail portion of the business. After some scheduling issues I finally was able to bring my car in on a Monday. Called Monday afternoon to see if it was done and was told it was not started yet and they would need it Tuesday. I said OK but please call me on Tuesday to confirm it will be done. I called around 1:00PM on Tuesday and was told it would be done in an hour. I rec'd a call back 2 hours later stating they would need it for a SECOND day (I reminded them they already had it two days). Again I said fine but it needed to be done by Wednesday and asked for a call to confirm it was done. Of course no call on Wed and no answer when I call. Go to p/u on Wed at 7:00PM and car is still not done. They apologize and ask if I can bring it back next week. I agree and bring it back in the following Wed night, speak to the owner, hand him the keys, and confirm that he will be able to finish the interior, a second coat of wax and the trunk like he promised the following day (Thursday). He says of course and will even pick me up at the train station when I get home from work. I show up on Thursday evening around 7PM to p/u my car that is sitting in the same spot I parked it the night before and the owner is sitting behind a computer and glances at me and does not say a word. Finally he says he forgot to do my car and starts to give me a song a dance about his life story (which he did every time I spoke to him in person). He wants to know if I can bring it back in on Saturday I said **** no and told him to give me the keys (which he could not find b/c they were sitting on his desk in the envelope I had physically handed him the night before) my car mats and move the car that was blocking me in. If this is how they treat customers for a simple detail job I would not trust them with my transmission
