Pawnshops: 10 Things to Know »
Most people think of pawn stores as a way to make cash quickly or a place to buy an inexpensive ring. In reality, they're a lot more complex than simple buy-and-sell transactions…
The service is terrible. Two examples. One month ago I took my Chinese friend to this market and we wanted to buy some pottery. There was two people working behind the counter that ignored us and in fact walked around us three times. My Chinese friend spoke to them in Mandarin and must have chastised them because the man started yelling at us. I thought I would have to fight just to get out of the store. The manager finally intervened but took their side saying they were not here to wait on customers. I replied all they needed to do was tell or us or get someone to help us. Not unrealistic expectations I think. Last night I asked an employee were to find an item, but he had ear buds in listening to music. I finally got his attention after the fourth try. I then walked off and he yelled at me "Your Welcome" I turned around to look at him in unbelief and told him if he would take the damn ear buds out maybe he would get a thank you.The store has a lot of potential but I think the owners are just tired. I will go elsewhere in the future.
Here is what I like about this place. The meats they have that are organic are 10 times better than what we have been buying at a supermarket. My wife finally talked me into it and I just won't buy meat anywhere else. If you are not going to freeze the meet, which I don't like to do, make lots of trips. It spoils sooner without all the chemicals in it. Very much worth the trips.
This store has the freshest and best spices I have ever tasted at the best price also! The freshest tasting foods ever. It's a bit further away from where I live but well worth the trip!
Best market in the area. They have an amazing selection of food products as well as cookware and dishes. Very well organized with signs that help you find your way around. Customer service is great and I have never encountered a rude employee. This place is perfect in every way.
I love the enthusiasm that the people at this store have. They are definitely the type of people whom you want to deal with at every transaction.
The spices etc are several years old. Also, if you are not indian expect them to follow you around the store... especially if you are as black as them.
They have become too rude.A couple yrs ago they didn't seem rude.Especially in the supplents dept.We used to be able to get knowledgeable friendly help, about the various Chinese medicines.Therearetwo women in that area now who just ignore you, nomatter how long you stand there. You can even walk behind the counter to look at things, and the younger one just pushes past you like your in her way,and still never asks if she can help you w anything! And honestly so far she hasn't been able,or seemingly cared to help describe or explain any of their items, even upon direct questioning. The older women just never waits on you either. They both just ignore that your there Nomatter how long you are! There used to be very friendly, knowledgeable helpful people there. Ya these people are just rude. And last few times so were cashiers and sackers. There are other places to get Chinese medicine. MSG neurotoxin, banned in many countries is in most of the food anyway.Cashier and sackers rude last time also.
I use this grocery store for both my food as well as for my medications. I have found on both sides it lacks in customer service. They also seem to be understaffed expecially during the day time hours.
I did some shopping in on of your stores at 119th and Metcalf, today 10/30/2015 around 11 am today. I purchased 10 items for a total of $51.14. At the time of check out I thought the total seemed a little high knowing the products I brought. The process of checking out was VERY swift. By the time I got the last item out of the basket and up to the pay station, all items were already rung up. I came home and started to unpack my items and looked at the receipt. Two items were incorrect, I purchased a pack of meat w/an Instant Savings coupon which was not removed from the package and was not reflect on my receipt, the savings was $1.44. Another item was a Febreze car clip, which was marked on the self w/a yellow tag at approximately $2.70. For that price I thought I would try it. I was charged $5.49. I would not have purchased it at that price. I did return to the store and went to the service desk and got my money back, $4.47. I appreciate the speed of the checkout, b ut accuracy is VERY important. the cashier noted on the receipt is "Leny". I was overcharged almost 10% of the total bill that I paid. This is not good practice or acceptable. I have been a customer at this particular store for many years and have noticed a decline in service and products offered. It is the closest Price Chopper to my home but seriously considering taking my shopping to another store.
This store use to be amazing same smiling faces every time I came in. Not there is a new manager named Mark he fired all the good workers and brought in his personal friends to work there. No smiles no more friendly Hello's. Honestly the store has gone to crap sense he started I don't see them being in business much longer. It is nothing but white trash there now don't waist your time. You will go in happy and come out very upset.
