Overall

This place is really 5 star to me and my little Border Collie, Coraline. We would not be as happy and satisfied with each other without the help I get from all the staff at Doglando. I am a single, professional who works some long hours. Yet, I really wanted to get an active companion dog. A dog with intelligence and spirit to run with me, take to Crossfit, and try agility classes with. Border Collies are perfect for an active lifestyle, but I knew I would need help keeping my smarty pants, little busy bee occupied. Enter the University of Doglando. From the first week that I brought Cora home we started attending weekly puppy parties for socialization and a weekly puppy P.L.A.Y. class to begin training foundations. The puppy parties were not only an hour for the puppies to play in the sand yard, but the staff offer tips on everything from housebreaking to safe play between dogs. The puppy P.L.A.Y. class was an hour one evening per week for 3 weeks and taught us some foundations such as recalls. Than we went into PreKanine 1 and 2. These introduced a plethora of obedience foundations from loose leash walking, sit, down, stays, getting into a crate, and some fun tricks such as weaving in between legs. Not to mention it's additional time for the puppies to socialize and learn to focus around other people and dogs. In addition to the classes, my puppy goes to the Enrichment program (so much more than day care!!!) several days a week, based on my work schedule. At Enrichment Cora gets to learn to play appropriately with other dogs, swim, and her manners, obedience, and even some of our agility foundations are reinforced. I work in healthcare, and nights when I am on call ridiculous hours Cora goes home with a staff member. This is an option they offer which I really appreciate. I like my puppy to be comfortable with a variety of people and situations, and to know she is loved! On these nights when we have to be apart the staff are really good about sending me updates on how she is doing. I'm not sure where I rank on the maintenance scale of dog mommies, but I have the feeling I'm definitely up there. The staff are great about putting up with my requests for information and frequent schedule changes. Cora and I plan on continuing our relationship with Doglando through the Enrichment program, and also by joining some of the specialty classes they offer such as Nose/Scent Work and Dock Diving. Take a tour of their facility - I have visited numerous other facilities and none in Orlando has as much space and fun stuff for the dogs to do: acres of fields to run in, a pool to swim in, a sand lot to play in, a variety of toys and objects to climb, a lagoon to cool off in on our insanely hot Orlando summer days, and a caring and attentive staff.

I wish I could post separate reviews as we have had many varied experiences with Doglando!

UNIVERSITY OF DOGLANDO: We brought our little street dog (from New Delhi, India) to Doglando for some socialization and training as he sorely needed some. The staff and trainers were all kind, gentle, loving and provided an amazing skill set for our little pup to propel him towards a great future of being able to interact with other dogs, be off-leash and go for leashed walks and behave himself.

He started out his time at Doglando being slightly aggressive, generally obnoxious and not very responsive to human teaching/instruction. After some sessions with Teena, Lauren, Noah, Nichole and the other trainers, we were able to really see amazing signs of improvement!

We would recommend - highly - Doglando for pups that need to be retrained to understand how to function successfully inside of their family / tribe.

CAMP DOGLANDO : Our two youngest children participated in Camp Doglando this year and we HIGHLY recommend it for children in the Orlando area! Not your typical summer camp, this one provides children with the opportunity to get a real hands on understanding of what it means to be a dog owner, care for animals and be a positive, contributing member to society when it comes to cats and dogs. They spent two solid weeks doing some serious work learning about the ins and outs of dog ownership (including veterinary clinic visits, shelter visits, rescue facilities, etc.). In addition, they were each tasked with training a puppy, which included bringing them home to crate train, and teach basic commands such as sit, stay, crate, bed, down, heel, etc. At the end of their two weeks, they were responsible to help adopt out the puppies that they helped to train. We are moving away from Florida, but if we were staying, we would definitely be signing them up for Camp Doglando again next year. It was truly an amazing experience.

Best Dog Training in Orlando

Doglando has been amazing for me and my dog. They taught him how to sit, lay down, stay, take treats politely and much much more. Not only that but they were very reasonable priced. Teena, the owner is a dog GENIUS! I definitely recommend this for any and every dog owner try to teach their dogs manners and/or tricks.
