Michael Levy M.D. is a board certified Thoracic, General, & Endovascular surgeon. He is also certified in Wound Care. Dr. Levy is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing. He did his undergraduate studies at New York University and attended and graduated from The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Levy did his clinical training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Levy has held multiple; academic, administrative and teaching appointments at Mount Sinai Medical Center in both Chicago and New York, the State University of New York at Stony Brook, the University of Illinois Chicago and North Shore University Hospital. He has both authored and coauthored numerous basic science and clinical articles. Dr. Levy practiced cardiac and thoracic surgery as well as vascular and trauma surgery for over 20 years. He also has extensive experience in the care of complex wounds. Throughout his career he maintained an active interest in venous disease. His practice is currently devoted to venous disease.
