The work was good. The owners' business practices are unacceptable and dishonest. Also very rude. Quoted price with full description of tattoos desired. Reservation made with deposit. Work completed. He raised the price. "It was more involved than I thought". Really!! They were two small hearts with crossed lines--took 20 min. each, if that. Bait and switch. I went there out of convenience. Highly recommend this parlor be avoided. The best tattoo establishment in the State--Lovecraft in Hamden. Should have waited and went there.
The first time I went to Studio Zee was for advice on what I did not realize was an allergic reaction to nickle. The man I spoke to, I'm assuming he was Zee, was very knowledgeable and by following his advice my problem cleared up right away. I had previously went to a very sketchy shop and spoke to a man who insisted I keep the jewelry in. Ugh. So if you're seeking advice this is the place to go! However I went a second time to size up my ears. I was sat down in a very clean, private, official looking room but was a little annoyed by the price. It would cost me 40$ for her to stretch my ears and for the jewelry all together. I'm very new to this but for crying out loud thats more than an entire kit from 14g to 0g including plugs and tapers. then she couldn't even find two of the same size jewlery which struck me as odd but I was relived that I wasn't going to have to dish out the 40$. i do recommend them though! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. .
