I was absolutely excited when I read the reviews for this salon and could not wait to have my own hair done. I went in for a cut and color. Originally wanted to see Luvena but she wasn't available so the manager recommended Jill. I absolutely love the cut and do think she did a great job cutting my hair. However, the color came out all wrong. Not only was it not what I asked for, but it was also a completely uneven coloring. asked for a blond tone and ended up with a redish/copper color that I absolutely hate. I will say that Jill was very professional through the whole thing and also very curteous and I have nothing bad to say in that aspect. My only major complaint is that I now have this permanent hair color that I hate. After speaking to the salon they were willing to fix the problem; however, I do not want to go to Jill again for the coloring. I would definitely recommend her for the cut though.
It took decades for me to finally stop fighting my unruly curls with huge rollers (in the 60s),products, salon straightenings, blow dryers, flat iron-and I owe it to Luvena Leslie Salon. It's true that just going there was the first step, but I still wasn't committed and requested a cut that I could still straighten into submission. Well, everyone there was a cheer leader for curls, and Luvena really knows what she is doing. I left there actually liking my curls instead of tolerating them. And everytime I wonder whether to get out the flat iron or go "au naturel", I pretty much opt for my curls. My daughters love my "new" style and my husband was always a fan. So I would recommend that anyone who is ambivalent about or hates her curls, but hates being a slave to the straightening efforts, go see Luvena ASAP!
This isn't true what was said , the woman came in with a declined card after service was givin to her and as a customer she was so ghetto !! I think she thought she was in the Ville area or something she was probrably mad that the diner didn't let her use there restroom I mean who goes to an establishment to write a review about someones bathroom ,she was hoping hers look like Elites !! this is what sisters do and say about other sisters trying to survive ,Elite is Clean and a warm place to relax while you are getting your hair done girls !!! and Iv'e never seen staff ignore anyone ,the minute you walk in you are greeted !!
For a long time I had been looking for a new salon that would know how to treat my curly hair properly. I came across Luvena Leslie Salon and made an appointment just to try it out. I loved it! The women were extremely nice and informative and the salon had a very welcoming feeling from the second I walked through the door. My stylist not only did my hair in a way that made my curls look amazing, but also told me what she was doing step by step so that I could repeat it at home. Overall, I would reccomend this salon to anyone who has curly hair, they were spectacular!
They were very professional and welcoming from the moment that I walked through the door. I had an appointment with Stacey after doing a consultation I agreed to let her start cutting. She did a big chop for me and left me with a cute curly low afro!! I loved the cut and how friendly she was chatting with me while she cut my hair. When she washed my hair she explained the basics of what would be a good hair regimen for me. She answered all of my questions and did an excellent job on my hair. I will definitely be going back because a good hairstylist is hard to find!!
I've been going to Sharon Joy salon since late 2007 and love it! My aunt recommended them to me. Two sisters own this salon - Sharon and Joy. These are two of the most warm - and professional - salon owners you will ever meet! They are not your typical overly-gossipy salon and make their customers feel welcomed, which I like. Joy has been taking good care of my hair and it shows. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new hairstylist who not only knows how to WORK hair, but keeps it in good condition. Thanks gals!
I have been chemically straightening my hair for 8 years...never thought I'd go back to my natural curls until I started researching the Curly Girl method. I finally stopped using my flat iron and took a chance in getting a curly cut. I have received so many compliments and walked out of the salon with a huge smile and vowing to never go back to straight hair. I received an awesome cut and the products used were also great. Salon itself was very nice, warm and welcoming. I can't wait for my next visit!
This was my first visit to a salon as a "natural" and my first visit to a curly hair salon. I had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and I loved the atmosphere. I didn't feel like I was being pressured or pushed into anything and was given really good advice on how to handle my hair. I was very happy with the cut and immediately booked my next appointment. I would definitely recommend this salon to all curly girls!
I'm new to CT and a girl at my new job recommended Soho. I've never been happy with my hair, it's sooo frizzy. But I went in for a consultation with this girl Christine and decided to try the keratin treatment, and for the first time in my whole life I have smooth pretty hair! They did caramel hilights first, then the treatment right after. It cost me a bundle but I'm happy so it was totally worth it!
I have been searching for an expert in color and cut for the past year and finally found Ivonne at My Touch Beauty Parlor .She is such a great person who happens to be very knowledgeable in color and cut. I have a goal to grow my hair and she is helping me reach that goal while educating me on how to properly care for my hair. I highly recommend Ivonne!!!
