Dr. Mark A Kestner, DC

I have had terrible headaches 2-3 times a month for over 5 years. I have seen several doctors about it, tried different prescription pain killers, ice, heat, sleep, changes in diet, etc.. nothing helped.. these headaches were debilitating and exhausting. I finally decided to see a chiropractor and after doing some research about ones in town I chose to visit Dr. Kestner. I loved my experience at his office. His staff was friendly and helpful and Dr. Kestner is very knowledgeable. I did a consult and exam my first visit. I then came back for an adjustment and another adjustment. Today I woke up with a terrible headache and he worked me into his schedule. Dr. Kestner asked me a series of questions and used several techniques on my head, neck, shoulders and back. My headache that I would normally describe as a "3-day headache" slowly began to fade. He asked me to let him know later in the day how my head was. When I reported in I could NOT believe that my headache was completely gone without having to endure it for 2 more days. Nothing else has ever given me that kind of relief! I am now a true believer.

I've always been skeptical of chiropractic treatment, but after years of neck pain, I thought I'd give it a try. I should've stuck to my original gut feeling and skipped the enitre experience at Kestner Chiropractic! Chiropractic care is definitely a money making scam! The doctor gave me a very uneasy feeling to begin with. I know a lot of people who have had chiropractic treatment and not one of them had to remove ALL clothing (including bra) for the exam. I am sure my little bra strap was in no way going to impede his progress during this process. I was sent for x-rays and then had another visit. The doctor said I "must have suffered neck trauma 15-20 years ago". What struck me so funny was that my daughter had been told that same exact thing from another chiropractor last year. I had no neck trauma and neither had my daughter. I think these types of doctors tell you that neck trauma occurred 15-20 years ago because most people won't remember that far back, but this man wearing a white coat should know...after all, he wouldn't prey on your vulnerability just to make a buck, right?!



During this visit, I was pressured to buy some blow-up pillow even before the doctor tried to make one single adjustment. I refused the pillow and then he sent in his robotic front desk clerk, Christina. She is eerily sweet, but talks as if she is using cue cards. So, Christina explains that I will need 3 visits each week for 6 weeks and then 1 visit a week for another several weeks. I did the math in my head and came up with about 2500.00. I stood up and left the office.



So, I ended up spending about 100.00 for the visit and 400.00 for xrays, but I did however receive a "VIP" t-shirt that I will proudly use to clean my bathtub! :)



Again...money making scam. Be warned!
