Meineke Car Care Center

There's no other place to take your car! My dad turned me onto Dave at Meineke. I've previously taken my car to others. I was way overcharged for the one thing I took my car in for because they changed my filter and a few other things I didn't approve. I have a BMW and I keep running into problems with it. I can expect a fair price and quick turn around. If I took it to the dealership in sure a simple $300 bill at Meineke world be 5 times that. I definitely insist taking your car here. If you're someone like me who knows nothing about cars, you can trust that they'll be fair and trustworthy.

Place is awesome. Staff is very knowledgeable and honest. I've been bring my car here for several years now and have been 100% satisfied every time. Prices are great, service is great, and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend them.

Meineke Car Care Center in Mundelein took great care of my 2001 Mustang. The customer service they provided was second to none. I needed to have a lot of work done which included a rebuilt engine, struts and a new clutch. Granted it was expensive, but my little car drives like it is brand new. Dave, the owner, bent over backwards to assist me. The mechanics who worked on my car did an excellent job. Dave carefully explained each step they took. He even showed me the old parts they had replaced and explained why the part was replaced. I will recommend them to my friends when they ask where I got my car fixed.

I have been to Meineke for vehicle inspections on two different occasions. The first time, Dave was very open and honest about what conditions he found. Most were outside of what they normally handle, so I felt comfortable with his findings. My second trip with a newer vehicle that I had just purchased was the same, but he didn't find anything that need to be repaired. I drove from Chicago for my second visit to this shop. That has to say something.

Ever though they are an hour away, I may still continue to visit their shop.

I have to give this Meineke 5 stars purely because of the effort and genuine care the employees here put forth in making sure the issue with my car was fixed. My Honda Civic needed to pass smog and the engine light repeatedly came back on, despite the efforts of the staff at Meineke. It was annoying that the issue wasn't spotted and dealt with immediately, but I have no room to complain about something I know nothing about. The mechanics here had a pleasant attitude each time I had to come back, of course no additional charges, and finally fixed the issue completely. After my car was fixed, I even received a call to make sure their work was adequate. Awesome job, thank you for actually caring and not taking financial advantage of me!

Stopped in to get NEW rims and tires for my F-150, they didn't have them in stock but had them in the shop within an hour, couldn't be happier, service was excellent.

I had my car serviced here and everyone was so nice and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. My car has 150,000 my engine light was on so they replaced my belts, got me 2 new tires an oil change and topped off my fluids and everything was done way less than I was quoted other places. They finished everything in a couple of hours before I was even done shopping.

Outstanding service again!!! Dave was very helpful, got me in and out quick. Real mechanics here have good understanding on my car. Very satisfied with the service! I do suggest getting an appointment if you want to wait for your car because this place gets busy on weekends.

I'd like to recommend this Meineke repair shop. They do much more than install brakes and mufflers. Their people will go out of their way to explain any problem that you might have and suggest options for repair. My experience with the repairs has always been excellent with the two Saturns that I have, and the cars always leave the shop correctly repaired with no reason for returns. To date, I have seen no unnecessary repairs, and the cost is at or below that which I might find at the dealers (the few Saturn dealers that are left). I need a shop I can trust, and this is it.

I come here for all my oil changes and basic maintenance. Service is great, customer service is great, and offer a discount since I work nearby.

I went to the Vannoy's on 9th ave, but because they are family owned I am posting this review for every location. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I should have known what to expect the first time I walked up and the front desk girl was too busy gossiping with another employee to be bothered with me. When she finally did turn to me I asked the price for the four new tires. I stated that I had called but I wanted to make sure of the price before she took my car. Her reply was simply "yeah, whatever they told you on the phone". Well, after one month with my brand new tires, one exploded on the interstate and I almost crashed. Never in my life have I even had a flat. I took the tire back in confidence assuming that they would replace it, because that is what any respectable business would do. But, because they are "family owned", they have no concept of customer service, it's basically once you're out the door, you're not their problem anymore. They told me it was just a "coincidence" that I had just bought BRAND NEW TIRES and that one exploded, and that these things happen. They offered to sell me another one at FULL PRICE. When I asked the obvious "Well, with the side wall completely exploding, couldn't it be a manufacturer defect or just a bad product?" They stated simply "No." Never go here, I'm letting everyone I meet know about this, because since they are family owned there doesn't seem to be anyone higher up to report it to.
