Park Place Apartments

I think the problems arnt the apartment complexes fault. Monroe is a trashy community. Lots of dirty people!

It's a joke they don't care about there residents.

You know the saying... If only I knew then what I know now.....

I lived here for 2 years & during that time there were 3 different managers, 3 different maintenance men & the pool was never once opened. When I first moved in, the complex seemed like it was nice & well kept, but the manager left & soon, everything fell apart. At one time or another, there was water damage in EVERY room, but was never taken care of. Whenever my above neighbors would bathe, water would pour down through the exhaust fan in the ceiling. My above neighbors clogged their toilet so bad that my toilet started to leak through the bottom seems & urine & feces flooded the bathroom floor, then they (maintenance) left it for me to clean. My air conditioner leaked the entire time I lived there & their solution was to keep a bucket under it because "air conditioners leak". There was a terrible storm (that caused most of Monroe to flood) & there was about 2 inches of water throughout the apartment. They brought in a shop vac & a dehumidifier (of course, they had me clean what I could of it) & said it would be fine in a day or so, but the apartment was very damp after that. The apartment next to mine was vacant, but they never cleaned it after the previous tenant moved out & there were actual ant hills at the shared wall. Again, this problem went ignored. Most of the other residents had many problems as well that were ignored. Towards the end of my second lease, the place had turned into a total dump. One of the buildings was totally vacant & had become unlivable due to a bug infestation. The police were there often for domestic disturbances & people were selling drugs.

BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!! Don't let the nice interior facade & affordable rent fool you.

Well for the apartments themselves their nice. The buildings are old and you hear ALOT of noises. Things are getting better here. I don't have to listen to people acting like its a night club outside. The neighbor crack head and dealer are gone. The management is a joke. With in the past 2 1/2 years they changed management 4 times, and 3 different maitence men. The current manager is nice and somewhat helpfull... I"m starting to get the run around from the office. I really don't think anyone cares about following the lease. When brought to the office's attention i just get the "well there is nothing i can do about it " attitude.... Bottom line look somewhere else unless you can get a third floor apartment. In the meantime I'm counting the days till I move.
