Hampton Apartments & Townhomes

The apartments themselves are okay. The large living room and kitchen island counter are the only nice features. AT&T and The Hamptons' own private cable/internet company are the only ones allowed, so good luck if you have bad credit or are short on cash! The leasing office accepts anyone. My husband did not have a job nor any means of income when we first moved in, we both had terrible credit, and he has 2 felonies, but yet we were accepted without a problem. The residents are a mixture of a few older, retired people and a lot of Section 8 people. The maintenance men find the cheapest way to fix anything, when residents pay $878/month for rent (for a 3-bedroom), clearly the landlord has the money. When my family moved in, all of the bedroom doors had been fixed/patched up with wood glue, and it looked awful. The sliding screen door had holes all throughout it, and all of the blinds throughout the apartment were different lengths. There was also a really bad bug problem; spiders with fangs, ants and weird centipede-like bugs with really long antennae that grew to be as long as your palm. We tried everything to get rid of them, but they would always come back. When we moved out, they charged us for literally everything they could find (even light bulbs and tiny dents!). Supposedly our entry door got kicked in (must've been after we moved out), yet we were charged $150 for a new door. Even the maintenance men will tell you the landlord is money-hungry, and if you move in here then you'll see for yourself!!
