Mr. B the owner of the shop is...

SCAMMERS Steve aka Mr.B the owner of the shop is a RIP off SCAMMER!! I sold a car to him that was not in working order...The agreement was that for the car I got to keep the windshield!! My husband calls Mr.B and says we will be over to pickup the windshield Mr.B told him to quote tell you wife she has to ask my mechanics permission! end quote WHAT? so at this point I'm fuming!! I call Mr.B and tell him I want my windshield he says come get it in a day or two...two days later my son goes over to pick it up for me and Mr.B says it broke in half and that I'm now SOL!! REALLY!! how does a windshield break in half? Oh and another thing...all of the good reviews were posted by his scammer buddies!

Tara isn't lying when she says she sold a car to us in non-working order. Unfortunately that is where her honesty ends. Two days after we bought the car for scrap, Tara called and asked if we would give her the windshield. We told her that would be fine as long as she would pay for us to remove it a $25.00 fee. Tara agreed so we removed the windshield, however when she sent someone to pick it up they refused to pay. We still have the windshield if Tara decides to pay the removal fee. Steve aka Mr. B is not the owner of Mayfield Tire Shop and we do not know who the other reviews are written by.

great service!

I went there to get new tires for my car and not only were the tires a great price the mechanic and owner were very nice and helpful! I hate going to shops because I always feel like they're trying to rip me off and tell me there's a ton of stuff that I have to fix but I did not feel like that here. They were very honest about everything and I will definitely be going back!

I had a positive experience with Steve and Joe today! I have known Steve not on a personal level, but know him from his having ran a store called "Mr. B's" for several years. Steve has always seemed to be a very straight forward person that does not tolerate dihonesty with his fomer and current employees. I met Joe, Steve's Mechanic at Mayfield, and he is an extremely friendly, personable, and seemingly very knowledgeable young man, as I am a former Mechanic myself and know my way around an automobile fairly well.



I had Joe install a new universal flex ehaust pipe on my vehicle. watched his work, as well as the owner stepping in from time to time to check on progress as he wanted us to be able to leave as soon as we could. The job was done to my complete satisfaction, and was told that in time that i would need extra gaskets, etc. , for the rest of the system as my vehicle is aging and these things are to be expected. Joe very kindly explaind the reasons why extra work "should" be needed, not "has" to be completed, and explained the process to me. I am very impressed by Mayfield auto's honesty, pricing is within reason, stay after hours to "get-you-done" without extra charge, and they don't care to stand around for a bit to talk about work performed!



I am an ex-mechanic that's not able to perform the majority of my own work any more due to Rheumatoid arthritis, and these guys respaect the fact that I have knowledge, and did not in any way make me feel as if I had no clue! Small shop, good guys, great business!

I got a good deal on tires, and the mechanic I think his name was Joe was very friendly and polite, I'm most definitely coming back here.

In my opinion Mayfield Tire Shop cheats there customers!!! They told me they would fix my vehicle for $400 out the door , paid them and two weeks later nothing was fixed .

The customer came in on Friday afternoon the 29th of March. The customer informed us that he was trying to install a fan and thinks he fried his computer. A diagnostic was completed and his computer for his jeep had been damaged. Because the part was a special order it had to have been paid for upfront. The customer volunteered to pay the additional installation cost at the time of drop off because he stated he was afraid he would spend the money on beer and wouldn't be able to pick up his vehicle later. We placed the order for the part that day. However because of the Easter Sunday holiday we were not able to get the part until the following Tuesday, the 2nd of April. The customer was aware of this delay. When we received the new computer on Tuesday morning we installed it first thing. We called the customer and informed him that not only did he damage his computer but he also damaged other parts that can only be repaired at a dealership. The customer came by and informed us that he would be back to decide what he was going to do. The customer did not return until the 4th of April. The customer came into the store with the smell of alcohol on his breath. He began to scream at the mechanic and tell him he was going to do physical harm to him. The mechanic then called the police and the customer threatened that we would pay for calling the police. A report was completed of the incident. (Middletown Police incident # 13004843). Total time to repair the vehicle was 4 days. Total time the vehicle was at the shop was 6 days. If anyone would like to challenge this please stop by and we can show you the security video and receipts when the parts were ordered and when the were dropped off. We value our customers and we regret that we were unable to help this customer with all the issues he himself had caused.
