Robert “Bob” “Rob” I. MILLER was careless in the removal of the tile, in that there was no caution takin in containing the dust from the removal. When installing new tile, Miller used no spacers to align the tile, consequently, tiles were uneven and many had to be replaced. Miller also failed to apply sufficient quickset to the tile allowing hollow places; consequently, 70 tiles had to be removed and replaced. Robert I. Miller’s tactic is to get a large amount of money upfront and then require weekly payments. This way he is paid ahead of work being done, which put the home owner at the disadvantage. Money is filter through his partner, Doreen LOPEZ. Miller uses “Flooring work order/invoice” from Artistic Floors & Construction, and does not put his name on any documents. Miller also uses Artistic Floors & Construction when ordering paint.Robert I. Miller, painted the inside of my home. The job was so bad, I had to have the whole home repainted by another company.Robert I. Miller comes across as a very nice and pleasant person and works with his step-daughter Raeann LOPEZ. I would rate Miller’s as a D.
Awful experience with this company! They are undependable and lying seems to be the only consistent characteristic of their business. Two workers showed up to install carpet we had purchased through Lowe's. We purchased carpet for four bedrooms and a staircase. They walked in, looked at the staircase, and then talked to each other about not wanting to do the installation. We had purchased a package from Lowe's which included removal of the old carpet and furniture moves. We had already removed most of the furniture and there were only three pieces of furniture left in each room. When the installers saw the remaining furniture, they refused to install the carpet. I called Lowe's and spoke to Lorraine who was rude and condescending and accused me of trying to get a "free service" meaning the furniture moves. I had a copy of the purchase deal which included the furniture moves and she told me I did not know what I was talking about. I finally told her I would move the furniture as I was missing a day of work for this installation. I told the installers they could start working on the staircase while I moved the furniture and they refused. I cleared the first bedroom within five minutes and told them they could start on that room while I moved the rest of the furniture and they went outside and talked on their phones. After I had emptied three rooms, they came in and removed a 4 X 4 foot piece of carpet, then told me Lowe's had called and told them to return the new carpet. I asked why and they said they did not know. I asked them to wait while I called Lowe's, but they left anyway. I called Lowe's and they denied calling the workers to return the carpet, but said the carpet could not be installed because there was too much of a delay with the installation. The delay was because they were late and then refused to work. Cesar's has lied to me nine times and Lowe's has lied eight times. I have called Cesar's and Lowe's multiple times with no success.
Bill and his installation crews at Tailored Floorings did a great job. They put in new bedroom carpeting and tile in our bathrooms and we couldn't be happier with the results.
They are the installer for Lowe's on Higley in Gilbert also. Horrible service! They walked off the job, left me wondering what to do. Lowe's got involved but seemed to be working for Cesar's rather than the other way around. I ended up cancelling a $6,000 order because I got the impression that professional and skill are completely lacking here. I'd stay away and ask Lowe's for another installer - they have regional ones. Better yet, just try somewhere else.
Cesar's is the installer for tile for Lowe's on Baseline Road in Tempe, AZ. We had 1,300 square feet of wood look tile installed by them. Lowe's and Cesar's do not communicate well with each other, so we had a lot of delays and problems with work orders because what we were telling Lowe's to do, Lowe's was maybe or maybe not telling Cesar's, and Cesar's was claiming to be clueless. The installers on-site for the most part did not speak fluent English, which made communication difficult for our unique job that had a lot of specifics. The tile looks great and is laid well, however there were grout issues. Lowe's sold us the wrong type of grout for the job, and Cesar's installers didn't follow manufacturer instructions leading to a much lighter and duller grout color with lots of variation and hazing, and they also neglected to grout areas. It required a second visit from Cesar's with grout boost to stain the grout, which took weeks to get them back to the job site, and they came unprepared because the work order lacked proper instructions despite me calling and reminding Cesar's of exactly what needed to be done. The installers also flat out lied to me when I asked them if they used the grout booster under my appliances, and I only found out when I moved one of them. Now they have to come out a third time. Bottom line, if you use Cesar's you need to be very patient and on top of them constantly throughout the course of the job. I would not choose them again after this multi-month ordeal, though I'm glad I went through Lowe's which guarantees the install so I know it'll eventually be done right.
I will never use Imperial again! I have spent thousands of dollars buying tile from them and after today will not and will tell everyone to stay away. I tried returning tile today, this was my second attempt. Bought the tile in Dec on sale and had to wait a month for my tile guy. Tried to return 4 boxes three weeks ago and did not have my receipt, but was in their computer and they had all my history of purchases. their computer crashed and they had no history, so the guy told me to bring back my credit card receipt and I did today and they wouldnt take it back. Was it really worth losing my business over maybe fifty bucks? I have been in retail all my life and the saying is..... one unsatisfied customer tells ten more peolpe of their bad experience. I will be contacting Yelp next! Get some better management Imperial!
