I bought a prepaid visit for $40 they were advertising for where it was including a manicure or pedicure, hair cut and highlights, and a gloss therapy that had a 6 month life on it. The only service I received was the manicure which I paid a little extra for and got the gel polish, the experience was awkward and she seemed pushy, and my nails not only were not the color I had asked for, but they weren't even filled in all of the way. She didn't shape them, or really even do anything to my cuticles, my nails looked horrible and I was overall extremely not impressed. Here's where I get angry: I made an appointment for my hair services (which I had already PAID FOR) and I had called to reschedule it for another day and there was no answer. Called again, no answer so left a message. Never got a call back so I waited a couple of days, called on the 19th again and they didn't answer, but now on their message machine it says that I would have had to call by December 17th to make my appointment, which I had called between the 10th and the 15th repeatedly and left messages with a callback number every time and never received a call back. It's been a month and I still haven't heard anything from them and I know they aren't going to reimburse me. I paid for these services only to be ripped off and ignored. I will tell everyone I know not to go there, and leave a review on every site I can so people know not to go there. Very unprofessional and doesn't care about their clients or future clients for that matter. Would rate ZERO if I could.
I came here to visit some family and decided to stop by this salon.Kerry was the stylist who did my hair. Not only was she Chara mastic and nice her work was amazing .Make sure to ask for her you will not regret it
I would not recommend anyone go to this salon. Tiffany McReynolds was my hairdresser and she over processed my hair and it all fell out. She refused to consult with me or offer any solutions. I then contacted the salon itself which her mother owns and she refused to return my calls as well. I then received a text from Tiffany suggesting I call their attorney. Wow talk about horrible customer service and a hair nightmare that will last me years and cost hundreds to repair. Just say NO to Salon Avalon and their inexperienced hairdressers and horrific customer service. When someone destroys your hair of gives you a product that is NOT what they say you are getting that is lying cheating and NOT doing professional business. This is a small valley and every business should provide great customer service or offer their patrons a solution when something goes horribly wrong. All u got from salon Avalon was hey call my lawyer. They never even looked at my hair. Really wierd and NOT normal so BEWARE for your own sake!
Unfortunately I cannot not give a good review. I have given this salon three different opportunities to do a good job and have been disappointed every time. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasing. But unfortunately I have had a hair cut, a spa pedicure, and nails done. All different occasions, all those services were poorly executed, my hair was the worst experience. The owner did offer to do a touch up at no additional charge (Since they do not do refunds) which was nice of her but at that point all she could do was touch up the color, the cut was pretty much unrepairable. She went on to tell me while I was sitting in her chair that the stylist actually did a perfect job and that my hair was the problem. I really couldn't tell her she was incorrect since I was sitting there getting my hair done by her. It was uncomfortable and my "trim" was 8 inches shorter than I had asked for. Very unfortunate. I also didm;t like being told the hair cut was fine, it was all different lengths (and not in the good way), even after the owner repaired it to the best of her ability it was a shotty color job and cut. My nails that were done most recently were amateur at best and popped off within the week. I have been going to different Aveda salons for years and just assumed they would be consistent. I will never go to this salon again, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but each time has been disappointing. So sorry, but again the staff is friendly, the Aveda products are great, and the atmosphere is nice. Hope they start doing a better hiring job for their future.
I have told my best friend and all my other friends, this place ROCKS! They have it all.Hair, Manicure/Pedicure, Make-up Consultant, Masseuse, Facial Specialist, Teeth Whitening, Spray Tanning and long lasting friendships with the crew. It is the best salon with the best group of people in town!!!
