I agree with this! I switched apartments within this complex and was charged $800 from a waterspot from my Christmas tree. Unbelievable! STAY AWAY!

Forward Management, Inc is a professional management company that has been in busines for more than 25 years. I myself have been with the company for 13 of 16 years in this business. Unfortunately I do have have this persons name or number otherwise I could follow-up to find out what really happened. If a tenant is charged for some type of damage to the apartment, we are required by law to document the damage by way of pictures and receipts. This is standard procedure for our company. The good news in this case is that the tenant apparently found Forward Management to be a positive experience with respect to their housing needs that they moved to another apartment within the same apartment community. I certainly welcome any further comment as a way to resolve this supposed issue. Respectfully, Tom Hofmeister

DO NOT RENT!! These are very n...

DO NOT RENT!! These are very nice apartments, BUT do not even try to ask for an extension for 3 weeks of your lease. They will not go month to month even when they say they will "work something out." We are having a home built and it will be completed 3 weeks after our lease is due to expire, but they are making us pay for another 4 months. Plus everyone's rent is different. Don't let them fool you. We looked at 2 apartments in the same complex. The only thing different was the view. One was the parking lot, the other a cemetery. We were told the rent was the same. We chose the parking lot view. We got the price that we were promised. Our friends moved into the other one we looked at and were originally charged $70 more a month. They got it down to $30 more a month. They were told that their rent was more becaue they had to put in new carpeting because of the LAST tenants. Why is that the new tenants fault? Isn't that what security deposits are for and then fines afterwards???? We were told it was the same. When we got our lease for the next year, ours went up $5 while the neighbors went up $25. Once again...exact same apartment!!! While everything looks nice here, don't let it fool you. Please pass the word on!

Unfortunately you will not find it to be standard practice to rent month to month or even for a 3 week period. However, we do at least try to accommodate each and every resident with some type of compromise. It all depends on when they are asking for the extension, the time of year (winter months no good) and/or how many other apartments are already set to expire at that same time. As for various rental amounts...views, new carpet, newer appliances, time of year (winter), availaabilty all play a huge role in the apartments rent and any rent specials offered at that time. This is just common sense. No two aprtments are a like. It is nice to know that they liked the apartment. I welcome any additional questions or concerns. Respectfully, Tom

I'd give negative stars if it would let me

If your smart run the other way. Everyone that I know that has rented from these people not only hasn't gotten any of their security deposits back they've gotten charged anywhere from $300 to $800 in damages. All of them have had to pay $150 in cleaning costs for little things like a crumb under a drip pan, and windows not cleaned to there specifications.

Forward Management, Inc has been in business for over 25 years and has provided quality housing for thousands and thousands of residents. We are required by LAW to provide pictures, receipts and a checkout sheet to all tenants that move at the end of their lease term term. If damages are present at the time of checkout, the outgoing tenant would have received any and all information relevant to their checkout and copies would have been filed with their original paperwork. This is fairly standard practice. I welcome any other questions or concerns regarding this matter. Respectfully, Tom

Wonderful Management Company

Forward Management Inc. is a wonderful management company, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment. Their staff is courteous and friendly. Whenever a question or a problem would arise their staff always made sure it was taken care of promptly. I have lived with many management companies in the past and Forward Management, Inc. has by far been the most professional company I have ever worked with.

Forward Management---liars&crooks

forward management is run by crooks. it was the worst apartment experience we ever had, and they put us through hell and back. we had a break in and they didn't even call to apologize about that. they are liars and will cheat you out of your money! please do yourself a favor/ safety wise decision to not rent through these people!

Forward Management, Inc has been in business for more than 25 years and has provided quality housing for thousands and thousands of residents over that period of time. I am unaware of the circumstances with this particular case BUT if we learn about a break-in at one of our properties we would have instructed the tenant to contact the police and their insurance carrier. Besides making any recommended improvments to the buildings themselves, we have been advised by local authorities to have these matters reported to the police in the municipality that the incident occurs. A violation of someone's rights is a terrible thing to go through and will certainly lead to frustration. I welcome any further discussion or suggestions. Respectfully, Tom
