On Tuesday, September 22, I brought my car to your store to have the tires checked, because at least one seemed to perhaps have a slipped belt. Although I didn't have a service appointment, Chris was courteous in signing me in and said one of your men would handle it. Mr. Jim Schroeder came to me very soon thereafter, told me that yes, one of the tires was definitely faulty, and he would see what kind of warranty arrangement could be made toward a tire replacement. He later told me he called the Goodyear office and was given an outstanding deal for my purchase of a new set of tires. He had obviously gone to bat for me, with his commitment to offering the best customer service possible. In every part of this situation, Jim was wonderfully courteous and helpful, and I appreciated his whole demeanor of friendliness and respect. While I was there, I noted that he was also very busy helping several other customers with the same kind of cheerful approach that couldn't help but give all of us confidence in his ability to serve with integrity and professionalism. I left that day with a new set of Assurance Comfortreads and a strong appreciation for Jim's kindness and expertise. His service certainly adds to the good experiences I've always had with your staff, and my compliments go to Jim and all of you for such an excellent commitment to your customers such as I've enjoyed. Any auto repair place is going to charge you for diagnosing your car. Pepboys charges $89.00 and most shops are between 45 and 90 dollars for diagnosing your car's symptoms. Just because you come in and say you think the battery is dead, doesn't really make it so. It could be many things, altenator, starter, spark plugs, etc. The mechanic will make sure to verify what is really the problem with your car. If you actually knew more about the diagnosing the car then why take it to automotive repair places to begin with... you could just do it yourself. Sounds like you don't have alot of experience automotive repair places. You would probably be happier going to the dealership where they will most likely charge you double what the small mechanics will. Also if you knew it was a battery then why didn't you just goto NAPA auto parts store yourself and buy a battery and replace it yourself? Oh yea... that's what you pay the mechanic to do if you don't have the skills to do it yourself.
Had a Check Engine light come on Thursday morning (it was 1deg.F out) so my first call was to Ben at European Auto Tech. Told me to bring it in same day and he would check it out with his factory BMW diagnostic computer. Turned out to be a misfire on cylinders 1,4 and 7. Felt it was due to the extreme cold weather and potential condensation. Since I have 75k miles on the plugs, we ordered new plugs, which were in the next day, and plan to replace them as preventative maintenance. Could be coil packs as well but Ben suggested starting with the simpleist, least expensive components first and see what happens. I appreciated his approach and common sense course of action, all with no pressure to throw money and parts at the problem. I recommend European Auto Tech with complete confidence......
These guys are great. They fixed a whole slew of problems on my truck and had it back to me the next day. A few days later, as luck would have it, the starter went out (not related to previous problems) and I had to bring it back here again. They had it fixed and back to me the SAME DAY. They even stayed past their posted closing time to allow me an opportunity to come pick it up when it was finished. Also, they were Johnny-on-the-spot with keeping me in the loop via phone calls, which is very important to me. I don't appreciate it when I have to repeatedly call to get updates on my vehicles while they're in the shop, but this place never left me wondering what was going on. These guys earned themselves a customer.
I had a situation with a vehicle recently that was a combination of a bad decision and really bad timing. The guys at the Auto Connection went out of their way to make the whole ordeal less painful for me...from towing the vehicle when I couldn't take care of moving it, to looking it over, and then to taking it off my hands when I determined that it wasn't worth keeping. Pete was awesome about staying in touch with me ( I had a LOT going on and wasn't always remembering everything I was supposed to do.) I was impressed and so thankful; they went above and beyond! I wouldn't hesitate to use their shop again, hopefully under better circumstances, and I would absolutely buy a vehicle from them.
When I first started going to Witt Service I called because I was about to go on a long road trip and wanted to know how to change my tire. I called and on the same day I came in and got a full lesson on how the jack worked. Methods I could use to loosen the bolts and so much more- all NO charge. Another time my car would not start (it was winter) so I called and Becky talked me through the problem, explaining everything. Where else woudl this kind of help happen? I always take a business car when I am traveling because I know that if I have car trouble or an accident I can call and get advice on repairs and or check what is being suggested by a place that I could possibly not trust.
This place messed my perfect interior up. Be very leery. They picked me up at my house after working on car. The guy was all greasy and dirty. Thats fine if they kept clean sheets there to put on the seats they sell them at the dollar store. they could clean them weekly. after it was said and done there was no discount. because it caused perm damage to interior. they kept trying to get me to go to the detail place next door. glue on the dash, marker on the seat. it was clear they had something going on with the guys next door. The owner had to blow to drive you know what that means for him and his judgement and the type of employees work there. you have been warned.
These guys are great at what they do. Let me tell you a story. I had an issue with my brakes and they completely rebuilt one side of the system to no avail. Next he said "Well I will fix the other side for free" as it had become a bit of a mystery what the problem was. Once he completed that work, the issue existed. Many mechanics would continue to pour time and money into something like this until they, maybe, found this issue. Not Graham! The manager told me that they had exhausted their avenues and I would be best served to see the dealer. WOW! What refreshing honesty! I've always been impressed with their service and attention to continued customer service.
had work done, as I left, I felt car was missing. later took car back and a spark plug wire needed to be replaced in addition to brake work. the car left your place missing. you priced me a tire, $50 higher than nearby competition. competition says a bulb is burnt out, needs diag. competition says brake fluid needs replaced, the day after you replaced front brakes. wished you had caught the cylinder missing, bad bulb and brake fluid while the car was in your shop. want to be friends, so I say excellent and will recommend.
I just want to thank you for your employee at the Lincoln North location. I was there awhile back to see if someone could help me figure out how to drop the spare on a newer truck I had just purchased. Heath, though going out the door to lunch, dropped his plans and showed me what to do. To me this is an awesome employee and he should be commended on his dedication to customer service.
