Kids First Preschool

I am so glad that we found this preschool. My children love going to school. They cry when it is not their day to go. That is when I know I put them in the right school.

What a great program Kids First has. I have sent two of my sons there and the third will go when he turns of age to attend. They are very careing and supportive and my kids love to go. We have had several of the teachers now and they are all superb! They have taught my boys so much in such fun ways. I feel competely at ease when I know my boys are there.

Super supportive and friendly staff. My children have excelled here and love it! I would recommend anyone looking for a pre-school to put Kids First at the top of their list!

My son attended Kids First Preschool for the 2011-2012 school year. I am a stay at home mom with a master's degree in early childhood education. I toured almost every preschool in Lawrence and Kids First was by far the best preschool that I visited.



The director, Mrs. K as all the kids call her, does an excellent job of working with the parents and staying in close contact with them. She makes a point to know every child in her school and knows most of their siblings names as well.



My son had Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Huffman as teachers this year. They came very highly recommended and I completely agree! They absolutely love what they do and it shows in every aspect of their classroom environment. Every morning my son is greeted with warm smiles, kind words and a choice of 2 activities to start the day. I love that they begin every day with structure and clear expectations. I also LOVE that a nice portion the daily work is kept and made into a bound book for parents to keep and look over on a regular basis instead of everything going home and getting lost in the mix.



The art and music departments are absolutely wonderful as well. The children have put on some precious concerts for the parents and I have seen some amazing art work come home already. The art department is currently working on a "Young Master Artists" series where the children are studying and creating works by Van Gogh, Matisse, and Monet.



I could not be happier with the experience we have had at Kids First. I strongly recommend it for anyone looking for a preschool for their children.

I love Kids First. The teachers, staff and building are top notch. I am always amazed by the things my son comes home to show me. Just a few days ago he was talking about Vincent Van Gogh's self portrait...he's four!



I would recommend this school to anyone.
