Shopped all over Las Vegas for the best price and expertise on a transmission service for my 83,000 mile 2005 Jaguar XK8. Got prices ranging up to and over the moon. PepBoys said they could not do it because they did not do sealed transmission services, and referred me to AAMCO on S Valley View. Kyle at AAMCO not only gave me the best price of all, he answered all my in-depth questions so there was no doubt that this shop knew what they were doing and what parts and which synthetic ATF fluid were really needed. I also got a great quote on replacing the old brake fluid with new DOT 4 fluid. I made an appointment for the next day, but had to drop the car off very early so I could be at work on time. I thought I was going to have to leave it outside their locked lot gate and throw the keys over the fence, but amazingly, Scott, the owner, was there at 6:30 AM to let me park my car safely inside, (even though they don't open until 8:00 AM). He told me he had owned the shop for 30 years, and even showed me the service bays, (which were extremely clean), which gave me even more confidence. When I returned to pick up the car after work, I asked to see the old filter, which they had saved just so they could show me that I had no problems developing. While I was there to pick up my car, I was very pleased with the courtesy, professionalism. and excellent work of this AAMCO shop on S Valley View and I am convinced of their honesty and integrity. If they can't do something, they will tell you up front, and help direct you to a shop that can address a specialty need. I highly recommend this AAMCO shop to anyone with car care needs.

Overall
Never again

I Give AAmco on India street my 'Never Again' rating.

I paid my money for them to fix a problem so my car would pass smog.

My car still had the same problem after they worked on the car.

when I contacted them , they said it was going to be a huge amount of money

to correct the problem and would not issue a refund for the work they did because

my car needed the part they put in.

That wasn't the point.

I took my car to them , paid my money per agreed price, so that my car would pass

smog.

They took advantage of my trust, I put money into a car that still won't pass smog and they think I'm foolish enough to actually come back for additional work?????

I give them my 'Never Again' rating and would advise people to not go there based upon my stressful, unfruitful experience. Buyer Beware certainly comes to mind with this place.

I am very sorry that you had a bad experience with the Aamco Transmission shop on India Street, but, that is not our location and you have written a negative review on the wrong business. At our family owned and operated center in Las Vegas, we pride ourselves on honesty, fair pricing and a repair well done. We always stand behind our work and family name.

Overall
Super Fabulous Service!

My father was told by a random mechanic that his van needed $850 woth of new shocks and struts. I looked up Aamco Transmissions (Valley View location) on the Better Business Bureau website and found that they had a great service record. I recommended them to my father after receiving a quote over the phone for half of the original amount that was quoted. My father went to Aamco for the service and Scott, the owner, inspected my father's car and found that he didn't need shocks OR struts, just an alignment! My father and I greatly appreciate Scott's honest intergrity! We have finally found an honest mechanic! Scott and Aamco Transmissions definitely have our gratitude and future repair business! Thank you for being refreshingly honest and loyal to the customer Scott! Yay!
