My apartment may be small, but I have good neighbors and only having to pay electric is really nice. Not that long after I moved in, I lost my job and was on unemployment and had trouble paying my rent on time. The office worked with me for several months making arrangements to pay late so I could get caught up. I felt really bad about my situation, but the office was as supportive and kind as they could be. Parking isn't too bad. I just go with the free parking and sometimes I have to park a couple blocks down when I get home really late, but I still usually get a spot in the lot next to my building. The elevators have been so much better since they updated them. I used to have to take the stairs frequently, but a couple years ago they redid them and it's such an improvement. I like the area, too. There's the park across the street and there are several restaurants nearby and a corner convenience mart a couple blocks down. It's pretty easy to get around.Overall, I'd say this place as been a great place to live
Ben, I greatly respect your decision. Ethics like yours are far too rare these days. You can be sure that if we need real estate service in the KC area in the future the call will be made to you. I loved reading the reviews here and found it fascinating how they contradicted each other. TKSMITH complains that Turn-Key is trying to find a renter for a property that the owner refuses to fix up and Homeowner5982 is complaining that they didn't want to make the improvements to a home they wanted Turn-Key to rent out! Such is the life of a property manager. The homeowners wants them to rent out the home without spending a dime and the renters want to rent the Taj Mahal for $50 a month!
Saw a dog running loose north of the river close to a busy road. Called 311 and got animal control. They were very professional and said they would get someone out there. Had me hold while they talked to dispatch. Called me back when they were in the neighborhood. Very pleased with their response. Don't know what the result was, but they were very responsive.
I've lived here for 7 years. I have a house outside the city but I stay here for work during the week. I don't need much, but this place is convenient and relatively inexpensive. I haven't had an problems with management, pretty much everything works as its supposed to and my neighbors are quiet. I'll keep staying here as long as the rent stays cheap.
I like it here. I only have to pay $25 for a reserved parking spot. I have paid up to $75 at other places. The people in the office have been nice. The fitness room is okay, but it is close and free. When I have my son, he likes the park across the street. It has a nice playground.
I lived here for a few years when I first moved to Kansas City. Its in a great location and my view was amazing. I liked the pool and the park across the street where I could walk my dog. It was really cheap rent but kept nice and clean and the management was friendly. No problems.
One of the more affordable places close to both work and school, pretty quiet and off the beaten path, usually can get my laundry done any day I need to. The pool is nice in the summer though it can get kinda crowded. I'd recommend it.
Loved the artist style loft! Lived there a year and loved the ladies in the office! Hated no parking close. I got 4 tickets and my car towed before I submitted to paying for monthly parking. Otherwise, a great experience!
