L A Nails Trap

I have been going here for about 2 years now. One day I needed my nails done and we were riding by and decided to stop here. Once I went there once I made it my nail shop. Lee is amazing :-) She tries new designs on my nails all the time and I have never been disappointed. She does not charge if you break a nail and come back to get it repaired nor do they charge for cut down. You get what some call a "deluxe" pedicure and charge about $40 for only $22.



Its a small shop and sometimes there is a wait but I personal feel good service is worth the wait :-) I give this shop 5 stars and I recommend it to anyone who wants great looking nails for a reasonable price.

There's a serious communication problem at this shop. When I arrived yesterday, the manager asked what I wanted. I replied a pedicure. He told me to sit in the chair and added the water plus soap. So I put my feet in to soak. IMO if they tell you to have a sit and soak your feet someone will be with you soon. Boy was I wrong. I sat and I sat....They had the TV on Fox 4 news and the new had just come on. It was 5p. By 5:20, I asked who was going to help me? The owner pointed at one of the two ladies who were currently helping other ladies. One was just beginning to scrub a customer's feet. The other was polishing the nails. So I thought "enjoy the soaking the lady will be with me soon" The problem I had was I wish he would have told me no one would be helping me until 30 mins after I began soaking my feet. For $22 I figured I wouldn't complain.



So one lady (a little older) began clipping and filing my toes nails on my right foot. She stops and switches with another worker. The lady helping me began polishing the toe nails of the customer next to me. The lady started my pedicure on my left foot. I told her the lady never finished the right foot. She looked up at me and smiled. After she finished my left foot she asked what color I want. I explained again, the lady never finished my right foot. She took out my right foot and began working...no biggie. So now she's completed done and ready to polish. I gave her the color and said I want a design on the two big toes. She just looks at me in complete horror. I asked if there was a problem. She said no with a smile and asked if I wanted a flower. I said no I don't like flowers, I like designs with lines. She polishes the nails and stops. She gets some white design polish and asks if I wanted a flower. I told her no I don't like flowers. She said ok and began to look nervous. She grabs the colors I requested and did the most basic design I've ever seen. Seriously if I can upload a photo of my foot I would. She used three colors black, silver and white. I have three stripes on my foot. I asked her was that all she knew how to do. Her hand was shaking the entire time. She walks to the owner and says something. He asked if I liked it. I told him I was looking for something more elaborate. He explained that I would have to wait for the other lady to finish b/c she does the designs. I asked how long he said maybe 30 mins I can come back. I said ok, he told me to only pay $20. I did and never went back. I can't believe that out of 5 employees only one can design....crazy. One the plus side my foot are smooth, the scrub was great and the shop was clean.



Normally I got to the shop on 55 and Troost but they were packed. Needless to say I won't be back. Great pedicure treatment, but poor polishing and design skills.
