my son been going there for almost a yr and me noth having anyother day care that was open anytime i needed. I had to keep my son at that school. Slowly his teacher would tell me things about my son that i know as a mother wasn't true , yes he was a shy kid but i know for a fact my son wasn't as bad as they made him to be and they wouldn't teach the kids much. The discipline was punishment in the corner with their hands raised above their heads until further notice my four yr old told me at the time he was three. my son didn't eat when he was there and he hated to go there each day. I wish I was able to see the signs early own. My son ain't never ever going there again.

I really think the state should do a walk through of the center. My child was mistreated by staff and bullied by students. By her account she was fed burnt food, the teachers called her "busy work" because she wouldn't take a nap. And the teachers allow students to physically and verbally abuse her, which I witnessed one day myself when picking her up early. By my account she was denied water even at my request. When I did bring water for her it was taken away from her and put in a cabinet. I was told that they are only required to give the children milk. And they weren't going to alter their daily schedule to make sure the kids were drinking water. They sit the children in front of a laptop all day, my child was losing all she had learned prior to attending the center and when I brought her work books she wasn't allowed to work in them. And I was denied contact with the owner. I was told " she's not going to call you back" and "it's like a car dealership the owners never present there either".My child attended the center for months and not once had my requests to meet/see/talk to the owner honored. The center is filthy and reeks Of urine and dirty diapers. My experience with this center was horrible.

Happy to read these reviews.. because i always pass this daycare and never seem to see alot of people and never knew it was 24/7. They should read what u all wrote and do whats necessary to run a successful day care. I will definitly not bother coming to see this daycare since everyone said basiclly the samething. Im starting to dislike clayton county, seems like everything is going down hill and now a christian academy for toddlers? that place should be on point!

I honestly wanted to like this daycare center, because of its hours and the workers (or the teachers) were putting their best effort; from what i could tell. On the other hand this business has disappointed me tragically. I only utilized their service for 1 week, and at first , was happy that I found this place. I initially spoke with Ms. Quinn, she was very delightful and advised me of a sibling discount (I have twin toddlers). So the price was affordable for me and my family's income, among the choices i had I chose Flint River Daycare. However, Crystal the Director, told me I had to pay full price (contradicting what Quinn had told me earlier). I only enrolled my twins there at that center because of the sibling discount Ms. Quinn had previously quoted to me. As a self pay customer, the fee was unaffordable for me to sustain. I appreciated the "special" that Ms. Quinn gave me of not charging me a registration fee. However I DID NOT appreciate Crystal's stringent attitude and general unpleasant disposition. Furthermore, when I called on friday 01/16/12 and informed the center that saturday 01/07/12 would be my twin sons' last day, because i COULD NOT AFFORD THE FULL TUTION PRICE FOR TWIN BOYS SELF PAY, Crystal informed me that I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 2 WEEKS OF TUITION AS A PENALTY FOR THE 24 HRS UNENROLLMENT NOTICE! ***IN OTHER WORDS CRYSTAL TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY 400.00 ! PENALTY!!! *** I had other options for daycare both center care and home care, and I regret that I wasted my time and money at this business. I told Crystal there are other centers and home day care facilities that are not as punitive as Flint River (THERE IS ALSO A 3.00 A DAY PENALTY WHEN YOUR CHILD IS OUT OF UNIFORM) I told Crytal these penalites will cause FLINT RIVER to lose business. They just lost mine - AND I WOULD NOT IN GOOD FAITH RECOMMEND FLINT RIVER TO ANYONE. I apologize to the workers, who do their job every day with the children. I recommend the owner invest in some soft skills/customer service skills for Crystal and do a serious review of their punitive policies. Or else customers like me will simply choose one of their many competitors who do not implement such policies. I lament even ever giving Flint River a chance. SINCERELY, CLAUDIA

I visited this day care and was very pleased at how nice everyone was. I had come unknowingly at nap time and Ms. jackson was so helpful, that was the first time I had come. The second time i had come i received paperwork and had taken a tour.. the place was nice and clean and Ms jackson gave a wonderful tour and explained everything to me, she was soo helpful. I brought my mom a d daughter back and needless to say i had a hard time gettn my daughter to leave. My mom also liked the facilties. I like this day care because it works with my schedule and even though it may be a little (just a little) out of my way I hope to have my daughter enrolled very soon. I would recommend this daycare to anyone.

Ms. Jackson, was very friendly and professional. The kids loved the tour they gave us and immediately said "I want to go to my class" My 3 year old cried when I told her it's possible they will start Monday. However they wanted to start yesterday when all I was doing was getting paperwork and a tour. I thought my children would have a hard time transitioning from their old daycare to a new one but I see they will have no problems. Thank God.

My children loves Flint River Learning Christian Center. The daily activities are very educational and fun.

It is 2011 and they are off to a great start. They have good qualified teachers. Their Afterschool teacher is really awesome last week the afterschool kids leaned about eggs and hatching. This week they will learn about DNA. This a great child care center to attend. Check it out for yourself.
