Steven D. Reinglass, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Retina Specialist at Eye Care Center of Lake County, Ltd. with offices in Gurnee and Vernon Hills Illinois. Dr. Reinglass received his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine followed by an Internship at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and a Residency in Ophthalmology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. In addition, Dr. Reinglass completed a Fellowship in Retinal and Vitreous Surgery at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
Macular Degeneration
Dr. Reinglass sees many types of eye care patients including those in need of general eye examinations, cataract surgery and lens implant evaluations, diagnosis and treatment of diabetic retinopathy, diagnosis and treatment of macular degeneration (ARMD) and the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma.i He is committed to helping patients with cataracts to become less dependent of eyeglasses (reading glasses, distant and bifocals) after cataract surgery through his use of correcting lens implants such as the Crystalens ® Lens Implant, the ReZoom™ Lens Implant, the AcrySof® ReSTOR® Lens Implant and the Technis® Multifocal Lens Implant.

Cataract Surgery
