Wedding Anniversary DisasterMy wife and I were looking forward to going to fins and having a romantic dinner celebrating our twelfth weeding anniversary. Well no such luck. I had made a reservation by phone a few days earlier for 6:30 P.M. for a table by the window. Everything went fine, the women took all my information and told me everything was all set so I thought. We arrived @ the restaurant @ 6:30 last night, parked my car via the valet (very prompt) and was greeted by a friendly hostess located in entranceway to both restaurants. We informed her we had a 6:30 reservation for Fins. She looked up our name on a list and said the reservations was listed for 6:00. I informed her our reservation was for 6:30 not 6:00, she said they would be able to accommodate us upstairs and wished us a Happy Anniversary. We proceeded to the restaurant and was met by the host(claimed he was manager). He informed us there were no tables available and we would have to wait and could not guarantee a window table. It would probably be 20 minutes or more but was not sure. He also informed us the women who took our reservation should not have promised us a window table since this is not there policy. I told him that was not my issue, I made a reservation for 6:30 for a table by the window and was told I was all set. He provided us with no satisfaction and did not even apologize for the screw up. After much banter I suggested a peace offering, my wife and I would wait @ the bar if the first round of drinks was on him. He flatly said "NO". Well @ that point I had enough of him and his lack of customer relation skills and proceeded for the door. Why anyone would make this guy manager is beyond belief. He lost two + customers and watched us walk out the door and could care less. So, my family and visitors from up north will not be visiting any of there restaurants. If you are looking for water front dining I suggest the Crows Nest or Casey Key Fish House.
