- Dr. Ty Vaughan was born and raised on a ranch in Northeastern Oregon, outside of the town of Halfway. Ty grew up learning the value of hard work, and an appreciation for the outdoors. He attended the University of Washington for college, but please dont hold it against him. Ty received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado, where he also completed a General Practice Residency that focused on surgery, endodontics, and the treatment of medically compromised patients. He received the Surgical Resident of the Year award at the completion of his residency. Ty practiced as a general dentist for two years before completing the Endodontic Fellowship at OHSU, and then completed his residency in Endodontics at OHSU. Doctors Dale Barker, Mark Danielson, and Jon Yatsushiro, who are part-time instructors at OHSU, asked him to join the Endodontic Specialty Group at the end of his residency. Ty enjoys spending his free time with his wife Cathy, and their two young sons Tobin & Connor. They try to get outside and explore as much of Oregon as possible.

Provided by Doctor.comI was able to be seen quickly and everything was explained so well. I was given options and the actual procedure was done gently from Dr. Vaughn, his assistant Paul, and the office staff (Deanna was great!).

Provided by Doctor.comI had to drive over from Central Oregon, anxious as usual the potential "root canal"..I was a returning patient from years ago remembering the good care I had received previously. I got Deanna on the phone, she remembered me from 9 years previous and immediately put me at ease on top of juggling my travel needs. I met Dr Vaughan after arrival and he listened to all my needs carefully and gave me the most TLC and talked to me throughout the procedure, as well as his assistant, Paul.
