I took my car in for a free factory recall service. When I picked it up, I was handed a laundry list of work that they said I needed. I have my car serviced by an independant shop that specializes in Volvo only, and I had recently been there for other work. I knew that my car didn't need any of the work that the dealer said I did. I didn't appreciate the scare tactics used by the service writer, that the car would basically fall apart if I didn't have this work done. No wonder people have no faith in dealers.
