Please be aware that when you receive these cabinets they have NO backs on them. We had a total kitchen renovation in an older historic home. I love every aspect of the results except for the cabinets. We paid $5100 for them. That's not a bad price but we wish we had shopped around ourselves and had someone local come measure and install instead of trusting the contractor to go to a cabinet supplier here in Missouri with his measurements. On a side note, the photos and description of the cabinets we wanted...smooth and stained maple DID not match the dark oak grained look we received. This is NOT Smith Cabinets fault at all, but i want to warn anyone who is trying to communicate to a contractor what they want in cabinetry or anything, PLEASE go directly to the actual location(Lowe's, Smith's, Home Depot, etc) and communicate clearly as to what you want.. I learned the hard way when we got something that I actually do not care for in the slightest(the grainy look on wood). As a result, the cabinet did NOT fit the microwave he had the measured for, the refrigerator cabinetry was much shallower then the refrigerator itself and the door on one of cabinets opens the wrong way. framing did not fit as well. The panelings on the sides are still undone and look bare. . When i go to other's homes and notice their gorgeous sturdy cabinets and compare them to what we got, I feel disappointment. Also the older dated cabinets we had removed feel thicker and sturdier. We kept some for carport storage and everyone agrees they are better quality. Please shop around before choosing Smith Cabinet. We hear Tuck's cabinets in Martin, TN are good quality for an equally reasonable price. I regret we didn't try this before trusting someone to order them for us.
