I made the switch to aptive because they offered us a discounted price for the same service we had previously been using. Seemed like an OK deal. I was a little put off that the sales man showed up at my door despite our no soliciting sign. I was never shown a documentation that the sales man had the appropriate permits to be in our neighborhood or town... but he was a good sales man & at the time very polite & seemingly knowledgeable & like I said, he saved us some money. My main concern & something I stressed as a concern was that our backyard gate is locked with a combination lock. The previous company we used never recorded the code & often did not treat our backyard because of this. I provided the code to the aptive sales man & stress that it be included in our paperwork and provided to any/all future techs that would be coming to our home for service.

The first visit... they showed up as scheduled... but the tech didn't have the coded to our gate to my surprise. I provided it and demonstrated it for him & again stressed that this code be added to his paperwork so that future visits would not have this issue as we often are not home when the techs come out. Then the tech though it was a good idea to clean off his muddy boots on our front door step & then just left all the mud there for us to clean up after him.

Visit number two... this time we were not home and again the tech did not have our gate code so the did not treat the backyard... they left a message on my voicemail to let me know... I called back provided the gate code again & asked they they send a tech back out to complete the job... they never called back to schedule.... I called again, this time I provided them with my wife's phone number as she is typically home & would be able to help schedule or provide the gate code if needed... they never called her.

I have called and scheduled & provided gate code one more time... guess we'll see...
