Its an ok gun store but i dont reccomend trying to pawn or buy pawned items. The stuff on the shelves is extremely over priced. Today i was there to pawn an item and was treated terrible. Very rude and unprofessional. Maybe they should drop the word pawn from there name.
This was just on today's visit. I've never had a problem pawning anything before here. The man that handled me today was an a**hole. We always have to bring in our electronic's because of hard times, but always pay to get it back out. Today, he refused it. After paying months of interest on other stuff, he got an attitude when I asked "could you do $10?" The item I brought in could easily be purchased for $200. How can giving $10 hurt? Luckily, we were able to scrape up change under our car seats and get gas. I will never do business with them again.
This is *the* place to go for ARs, AKs, and parts. Free internet transfers is the icing on the cake. Their Magpul gear is cheaper than most online stores. Only downside is it seems a lot of folks just go in to shoot the breeze, so you sometimes have to wait to be helped while another customer keeps them busy chatting. But I have never had a bad experience here. I recently moved almost two hours away and still do my FFL transfers here (I stop by on the way to my office). Hard to beat this shop!
I don't understand the negative reviews here. You want real, honest reviews, go on any of the firearms forums. This place has a reputation for being absolutely top notch. If you don't believe that, go in there and see how many people flock to this place. It's an hour from me, but worth the drive.
Received notification my gun was delivered at my selected FFL at 9:14 am, I later walked in at 1:30 as I took off work early to pick up my new gun. Gave them my name and the employee's response was, "you can pick it up tomorrow". Confused, I asked why I had to wait because I have never had to wait an additional day at any other FFL. He said "we don't log our shipments until the end of the day". basically, they didn't want to take 5 minutes to review my information and transfer my gun to me. Low and behold, I get a phone call at exactly 6:00 pm (and they close at 6) the same day and they left a voicemail saying my firearm is ready for pickup. They waited until closing time to notify me so I would be forced to wait until they would reopen. It's a shady way to handle customer service and as a result I will never step foot in their shop again. I've had several friends that also shared sub par experiences with Cherokee gun and pawn, but I figured I'd give them a shot anyways. The no transfer is nice but I honestly would've paid the $20 from my other FFL to avoid all of this and gotten range time in instead of having to be in the position i was forced to be In.
Bait and switch! They advertised a gun in the Cherokee Ledger Paper for $250. I went to the store and they have the gun in stock but I was told they "don't have that batch" anymore so the same gun is $300. It looks like the 1st gun I bought from them a while back will be the last.
Spent 3K in a couple of months, treated me like trash when I tried to return something. So they know who wrote this, the big country-ish guy:1. Exchanged laser for me when it went out after a week.2. Sent it back to company when it went out month after that3. Talked down to me, claimed they sold over a hundred of them with no problem (40K), and asked why I would use the laser for 3 minutes? lol. Then he smirks when he brushes me off and passes me to the nicer guy.Sadly, I went in to spend another 1400.00 on a gun, and they can choke now. They won't stand behind their products, and they're clearly too greedy to care.
