We had an engineered hardwood floor installed in our home last week. There were over 30+ dings, nicks, and problem areas in our floors after they were installed. Nick came to my home on a Friday afternoon and agreed that he would have an installer in my home Monday morning to replace the problem planks. Mr. Mike showed up at my home Monday morning and told me I was "unreasonable" and that Nick never would have agreed to replace so many planks "that's just not what they do" and proceeded to put Sharpie on all of the dings in my floors promising me that we would never notice them. After an hour of insults and his marker, he left agreeing to replace 4 of the problem planks, only to have the installer use nails and make the planks look worse than they did in the first place. Horrible service, incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Mike and Sterling mis-measured our house. They made us pay half of their mistake: $800 of the $1,800. There was no compensation for the inconvenience of waiting a week with our house torn apart until the rest of the carpet arrived.
Love the carpet. Sterling had done a wonderful job recommending it. Hate the installation. They tore up paint and drywall and even broke a light fixture. I called them and they didn’t understand how a light fixture was broken. It must have happened either on removing the old carpet or carrying the new carpet down. All I know is that when we tried to turn the light on that evening for some reason it would work and the picture will show why. They were supposed to fix it, however, two weeks later getting tired of having to go downstairs to turn on the lights so the girls will go to their room. I am just going to replace it on my own today. I tried to give them an opportunity to fix it and it didn’t happen. There were other paint spots that were scratched as the whole basement was painted before the carpet. Paint was touched up on day one by us.
They did the carpet and gym mat flooring in our home and we couldn't be more pleased. Staff was very professional and easy to work with while offering competitive pricing. Install was great and finished a day ahead of schedule. Would highly recommend them!
I've worked with Kay Riley and sons for years for my personal residence. I was very pleasantly surprised when I needed flooring for my rental property and I really needed inexpensive flooring. After all those years of working with them, I didn't realize that they have great pricing for entry-level flooring. I got value pricing for my rental with all of the great service I always get for the higher price-point flooring in my home.
They installed the carpet in our basement and did a fantastic job. They were wonderful to work with and did it all at a great value! Based on our experience I would recommend them to anyone for anything! These guys are the what you would want carpet people to be! Thanks again and you will have our business forever!
I have been impressed with the professional, yet approachable staff. Also, I was very impressed with the extended installation warranty. These installers work for Kay Riley's and have a long-lasting history with the company, which is the reason they can guarantee their quality. I have had my house recarpeted twice, had vinyl flooring done, and had tile in my bathroom by Kay Riley's and have always been incredibly pleased with the outcome. I appreciate their honest, hard-working approach to sales. Their first priority was my happiness.
I recently had some carpet replaced by Kay Riley and Sons in a home that I owned in Layton. What impressed me most was the fact that they tried to save me some dollars on some carpet that had received water damage in the basement. They suggested that they might be able to clean it with their carpeting cleaning service. I was totatlly impressed when the light colored carpet came out looking so good. That saved me many $$$$. They went on to replace the carpet up stairs, which added a new look and smell to the rooms. I was able to sell the home shortly after having this done. I feel like the people at Riley's really care and in this case saved me money. I would highly recommend this company to any one looking for carpet. RO
We have had an outstanding experiencing with replacing our carpet from start to finish. The first time I stepped foot in the beautiful retail store I was warmly greeted by the staff. I had shopped around at several other furniture and flooring stores which I felt like I was being pushed and pressured into making a decision on carpet before I was really ready. I thought some of the big furniture and flooring stores would be able to get me the best deal, but that wasn't the case. I was treated like a friend from the sales people and they acted more like a consultant to make sure I understood all the differences between the carpet. There were no extra hidden costs slapped on that I wasn't aware of until the last minute. When the installer came to put the carpet in, he did a great job. I checked his work to make sure there were no flaws, and it was perfect. He worked for 12 hours straight on the first day so we could get our furniture back in the main areas of our house. I didn't see him take a single break.I would highly recommend Kay Riley & Sons for anyone that is looking for any flooring needs they have.Sincerely,Ky O
Cant keep a schedule and a hack job. Save yourself the frustration and the money and go elsewhere. They should not consider themselves hardwood professionals. Even after several go'rounds with the owner, the quality was crap and the I cut them off after the 2nd chance to fix it....
