I have been to many massage therapists in my 43 years because of my scoliosis and severe and chronic back pain. That coupled with the fact that I am a dancer and fitness instructor made the need for bodywork a must. Finding Julie and experiencing her intuitive work has been a blessing for my body and in turn my life. I've seen her semi regularly for the past 15 years and I no longer suffer from chronic back pain! Now I go to see her just because and she intuitively finds something that needs work before it actually becomes a problem. I come out of a session with Julie not only feeling amazing release in my body but also genuinely cared for. Her hands are magic!

I don't normally bother to review businesses, but these negative reviews are so over-the-top and ridiculous that I feel I have to respond. I had a livingsocial voucher for a massage and a facial, and I had no trouble scheduling. I called, someone answered, I told them I had a voucher, and I scheduled for ten days out. I don't understand why people find it unbelievable that there aren't appointments available for two or three weeks. There's one massage therapist and one esthetician, so when they have an influx of customers, they get backed up. And since I'm used to scheduling massages and facials a month or more in advance at other spas, I don't think a few weeks is unusual anyway.In any case, to review my own experience: Uphoria is not a luxury spa. Everything about the place is more casual than most other places in town, from the decor to the quality of the linens to the attitude of the people who work there. It's not the quiet, super-serene experience you may expect from a spa. Given the prices, I must admit that I was expecting a somewhat more luxuriant experience.But as far as the quality of the services I received, I have no complaints. The massage was extremely effective, particularly the neck, forearm, and hand work. It's clear that Monica is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced with myofascial release and trigger point therapy. If you're looking to relieve pain or release chronic tension, I can't recommend her enough. I will definitely go back myself, as I got more relief in one 60-minute session with Monica than I have in the past with regular massages elsewhere.
This place is completely unprofessional. I purchased a package from living social. The day that I was supposed to have my massage their happened to be alot of snow fall. I had an appointment at 10. Called at 9:15, 9:30, no answer so I left a voicemail. They finally called back at 10:30 and said that I lost my voucher I had to cancel 24hours in advance. Marissa and Monica were EXTREMELY RUDE. THEY ARE ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY AND DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS AT ALL. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!
This was a horrible groupon choice. I called about 10 times trying to make an appt, but they don't have a person answering phones. My voicemails were finally returned by a rude woman who informed me that there would be no appts in the evenings or weekends for the groupon. Also, the first available appt was in Oct. Are you kidding me?Maybe it's a good thing this groupon is expiring - haven't been and DEFINITELY would not recommend.
If you have a groupon for this merchant, good luck scheduling an appointment. I had a voucher for a manicure but when I called to schedule an appointment, I was told that there were no available openings until three weeks from the date I called. Seems highly unlikely -- I've never seen a beauty salon that busy. Don't mention your groupon when you call to schedule an appointment and maybe you'll get better customer service than I did (and maybe you can actually redeem your groupon rather than being forced to throw it away).
Wonderful, rejuvenating and so relaxing! Thank-you for taking such good care of me. It truly was a mini-vacation from my vacation. Friendly, professional, clean, sanitary and overall just am outstanding experience. Highly recommend to anyone who wishes for a personal, and experienced spa day.
Horrible customer service from the owner not an employee either. Totally unprofessional not worth the savings from groupons. Never again!
