Meh. The service was slow, the food was extremely overpriced, and it wasn't even that good. The restaurant itself is crowded as well. But we did have a nice waiter, hence the 2 stars.
Don't go here! The staff are not friendly and the restaurant is never busy (with the exception of Kids Eat Free Night) but there is a still a very long wait time for drinks as well as food, and the servers are usually busy socializing with each other and not paying attention to their customers. Also have had numerous bad experiences with online orders (which we started doing after too many bad experiences dining there). The orders are never ready on time and are almost always cold by the time they are brought out, bartenders are rude and don't really pay attention to their customers, and on the most recent visit the kitchen admitted they ran out of an item earlier in the day (but did not bother to call or tell us until we arrived to pick up the order and we had to wait even longer for a substitute item to be prepared). Food is just subpar and not worth it along with the bad service, we will not be going back.
Service is what you would expect for a hole in the wall type place, friendly and helpful. I sat at the bar, ordered a beer and checked the menu. TexAmeriMex is what I call it. Chili is their special gift to the world. The wings, however, are the gem. Just as you would expect they fry them, then sauce them in a variety of flavors, but they are not done yet. They put them on the broil grill for a few minutes to sear in the flavors. Crispy and full of flavor. Texas is their own secret recipe, but the Old Bay is great, too. Don't go here without trying the wings,or the chili.
Stopped in this quaint little pub and LOVED the atmosphere!!! The food was pretty good, but it was really the small warm cozy feeling that will bring us back again.

I rarely complain about pricing. I understand the value in quality ingredients, exceptional service, and appealing ambiance. With that said, Restaurant Eve is over priced with amateur dininng staff who try too hard to give the facade of 5 star service and a chef and kitchen staff who are the product of marketing and the unfortunate celebrity chef craze sweeping the DC food scene. I gave 2 stars instead of one to maintain this posts legitimacy.
