Lost my prescription reading glasses in the trunk of the cab when the valet at the hotel took my bags out of the car. Called number on my receipt and was told the driver found them and would be back at the hotel within an hour. He never showed. I called Alexandria Yellow Cab every day while in the area and got nothing but a run around. I'm not sure if there are more incompetent people in business but the folks at Alexandria Yellow cab would give all of them a run for their money. Needless to say, I left the DC area without ever getting my belongings back. Next time just Uber and avoid dealing with these morons.

No benefits, no severance, no retirement -- they told him to "apply for unemployment."He couldn't even say goodbye to the co-workers he's worked alongside for years.I want everyone to know how Alexandria Yellow Cab treats their employees.It's companies like Alexandria Yellow Cab that are driving the rise of Uber & Lyft to create a more competitive marketplace for customers AND employees. Skip over this company -- take Uber, Lyft, Sidecar, or any of their superior competitors.
Totally unreliable. Booked online the night before because I knew with bad weather that had happened that day the early morning would be a challenge. Well it did me absolutely no good to think ahead. They did not dispatch a cab, calling them once my cab hadn't showed up was worthless. The driver never came. I had to go to expensive and difficult alternative. Completely pathetic. No ability to plan ahead or deal with snow even though all roads were completely passable and moving along well.
I made an online reservation for a Go Green Taxi on their website. I then called an hour before the scheduled pick-up time (5:15 p.m.) to confirm that our reservation was received and that the cab would be there to pick us up. The cab never arrived, so I called back at 5:20 to make sure they weren't lost. The operator stated that they were too busy and could no longer provide us with a taxi. They did not call to tell us this and one hour prior, had told us they would be there. I will never again use Go Green Taxi and I think their poor business practice is unprofessional and extremely inconsiderate.
