OLD TAVERN FOOD PRODUCTS, INC was founded in 1926 by PAUL STRONG in Waukesha, Wisconsin. It continues to be a family owned and operated cheese business. We began in one small building with three items for sale, featuring our now famous OLD TAVERN CLUB SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE SPREAD. From there we expanded to four buildings, until 1968 when we moved into our current home at 230 South Prairie Avenue in Waukesha.Today we have over 200 cheese and gift items for sale. Our OLD TAVERN CLUB SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE SPREAD is still the most popular, with additional flavors being added throughout the years using the same quality ingredients that made our cheddar spread famous.CheeseOLD TAVERN CLUB CHEESE is 100% "real" Wisconsin Cheese made only from the finest ingredients. OLD TAVERN CHEESE SPREAD is made from large blocks or barrels of aged Wisconsin cheese. The cheese is shredded and blended with our own very special ingredients, then packed into various containers for your eating enjoyment.OLD TAVERN CHEESE SPREAD can be frozen or refrozen without changing the flavor or texture of the cheese. The cheese spread should be refrigerated.
