Founded in 1949, United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) is one of the leading nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of 54 million individuals with developmental disabilities. It is one of the largest health charities in the United States. The organization, through an network of affiliates, offers independence, productivity and full citizenship services for people with disabilities. United Cerebral Palsy offers services for over 175,000 children and adults on a daily basis. The organization specializes in housing, physical therapy, assistive technology training and early intervention programs, as well as provides individual and family support services. It offers social and recreation programs, state and local referrals, and employment assistance and advocacy solutions.
