We don't get out that way too, too often, but when we do we actually try to plan our trip around eating lunch at Hinze's. Awesome barbeque, decent sides. Dessert...oh my yes. Save room. Small and gets crowded so go early.

Got a big meal for 12 to go. Had chicken, ribs, sausage, fried okra, two types potato salad & BBQ sauce. Took a few minutes to get the order but 20 mins later all of us were tearing into it at home. No one was disappointed. Everything was still hot and well packed. Meats were all tender and not dried out. Great smoke taste and tenderness on the ribs. Love the sauce too! Tried the potato salads and both were heavenly, especially the one with bacon...a must try. Everyone loved the okra and it stayed crispy. We all enjoyed and not a single complaint. The blackberry cobbler was still hot and tasty at the end. A great job, I really recommend this place.

This is a simple straightforward wonderful barbecue joint. Yummy fried okra and everything about the barbecue is perfect! This is our main spot to come too.

Good food and good selection. I showed up late and was worried about freshness. Everything was good and fresh. You could tell they appreciated me stopping in.

Great pecan-smoked BBQ; no-fuss setup. Unfortunately they seemed to be woefully understaffed - messy tables everywhere. The two of us wound up at a table for 6 and happily shared the space with a friendly fellow traveler heading home to tend to an emergency work situation. We've been before & will return.

Ordered brisket and sausage platters. Both meats were very good. The fried okra was great. Baked beans and potato salad were tasty. We can depend on Hinze's to make consistently good food, and stop by whenever we are in Texas.

The food is delicious! I love the sauce!!! The only bad thing I have to say about the place is the workers smoke inside on their brake. I'm not a fan of smoking inside when families are there and there is no dedicated area for smoking. I didn't see one anyways.

My favorite is a sign they have hanging below a gun that reads: "We aren’t calling' the police." Tells you what kind of place it is. Awesome.

I ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich, which was my first ever, and I loved it. Everyone I came with enjoyed their meal and was very glad we had stopped there.

As the saying goes, what you see is what you get...and then some. Old school place, but their BBQ is excellent. The place was clean, the staff gave excellent recommendations, and the food was just as good as i had expected.

I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I pass through Sealy on the way to Austin. I stopped there one year about 5 - 6 years or more ago. I tried the Bar B Que ribs. I was sold. Now each year i go through. I buy at least 3 pounds of ribs going and based upon friends and family i buy 10-20 pounds of ribs on the way home. They may be the best i've ever tasted. The sauce is Langiappe. Good sauce but its like the gold mounting to a perfect diamond. Only part of the value of the thing. They are well seasoned and tender. I'm going through Sealy this Thursday. I will make my same routine order going and coming. You should too. Trust me the ribs are JUST THAT GOOD!!!

I always stop here when I pass through Sealy or I stop at he location in Wharton. I love the ribs. Terry and Toni always take care of me.

I have been dining here many years and look forward to many more to come!

Janet knows her stuff! Whenever I come in, she is working, I know I will get good service and if something is not right, I can count on Janet to take care of it. She is a hard worker and a motivator. The other workers today were nice also. I really like your BBQ chicken and homemade bread.

Best BBQ place in Sealy. Cashier was very pleasant. First time I've been waited on by her. A nice surprise.
